Help me Understand Akershus Breakfast

Hi,

We are going to Disney World in June 2016. I think that Akershus looks like fun! However we are on a bit of a budget, so it would probably be our big splurge meal. I have been reading some reviews for breakfast and am trying to understand some things:
1. Is it at all a buffet?
2. Is it "timed" like CRT?
3. Can you take your own photos with Belle at the front?

There is a cold buffet that is offered at breakfast. This was nto there in AUgust so we missed it, but I understand there is yougurt, cheese, etc.

This is a AYCTE meal, which means that the food is brought to your table. WE had chocolate bread, a berry bowl and a breakfast skillet that consisted of eggs, potaotes bacon and sausage. I cannot remember if there were waffles. You may have as much as you care to enjoy. The food was delicious, fresh and plentiful.

You enter and Belle is in her alcove. You may take pictures, and feel free to ask teh photogtaphe to use you camera if you like.

The Princess interaction is good, not rushed. My gils loved it, as did the rest of us.

If I was going to splurge on a meal, Akershus would not be it. The princesses there are all found elsewhere in the parks and the food just isn't very good IMO.

To your questions as the other poster said this is an all you care to eat meal, where they bring dishes to your table family style vice being on a buffet. They used to have a cold buffet, but that went away a few months ago and now they just bring some pastries, fruit, and meats/cheeses to your table. You can also take your own photos with any of the princesses.

They got rid of the cold buffet at breakfast? No more gravlax?!

No the cold buffet at breakfast is back.
A platter of scrambled eggs, potato/hashbrown casserole, bacon & link sausages are brought to your table along with juice and whatever beverage (non alcoholic) that you order. Absolutely the best scrambled eggs ever, IMO.
A cold bar with pastries, bagels, muffins, croissants, yogurts, granola, cream cheese. Salami, smoked salmon, fruits and I probably left something out.
When they bring the platter out we go ahead and ask for more bacon, lol. I have never felt rushed and the princess interaction so far has been good. We have been many times for breakfast and it is one of our favorites.
You do get to have the picture made with Belle at the front by a photopass photographer and your own camera also. The photo package is no longer included in the price tho.

Oh thank heavens! I am so glad to hear that, thank you! The salmon is my favourite part of Akershus- including the Princesses, which is saying something coming from me.
