Help me to decide...

We are planning (our 7 month date has not arrived yet) to switch from a 1 bedroom villa at SSR to a 1 bedroom at BWV in Sept...

DH & I are staying with my adult son (30 years old today!) for 1 week. We planned on staying in the 1 bd b/p view for 200 points. But, I did an add-on for 50 pts. this week and was poking around the DVC site, looking at various options and for 22 more points, we could stay in a 2 bedroom at BWV, giving us so much more room and privacy (and an extra bathroom!). But it would be a standard view. How bad are the standard views at BWV? I've only stayed in b/p view in the past...

Hi: We've stayed in all 3 different views. Boardwalk view is great, but you have to decide if it's worth the points. Standard views are also great because of the point savings. OUr standard views have generally overlooked the front driveway. We've enjoyed them all.

I am not a BWV owner (we are BCV owners), but from what I have read here a Standard View is not likely to still be available at 7 months. It is less points and books quickly.
We too spent a week at BWV with our adult (30 YO) DS in a 1 bedroom. Actually we have done it at BCV several times. It worked out great. We did not feel too crowded and even the bathroom situation worked well. The split bathroom configuration does allow 2 people to get ready at the same time. DH could be shaving while DS was showering, for example.
DS felt that the new style pull out sofa bed at BWV was very comfortable.
We would generally be up and out fairly early in the morning. We generally returned mid day for a swim and/or a rest. We had breakfast foods, drinks and snacks in the Villa. Then we would head out in the evening for a TS dinner ADR. Most evenings we retired to our room while DS had the LR to himself. We had 2 TV's (one in the Bedroom, one in the LR) so we could watch while we fell asleep if we wantd.
We never felt too crowded.
Now DS had a serious Significant Other in his life so we are getting a 2 bedroom Villa this fall. I am looking forward to sharing our love of WDW with a "newbie" on this trip.
