DH & I are going on DCL Magic December 8th - 16th. This is the 1st "real" cruise we will do Alone without our Son and No other couples..

We are involved in a Dis DCL Meet Group and doing a Secret Santa :santa: so I am adding a few Christmas decorations to my suitcase..

But....

I would love to surprise DH with something "Special" but I don't know what I should or could do.. We leave the 7th for WDW for the day then the cruise on the 8th..

Any Ideas, Suggestions, Opinions.. will be appreciated

Thank You in Advance
:cloud9:

ETA: we are NOT drinkers.. so Alcohol wouldn't work for us

You can always treat him to a massage at the Spa if he likes that sort of thing.

Neither one of us has ever had one... Not sure if he would like that or not :confused3

but Thank You for the thought.. maybe I can suggest doing one and see what he says about it..

Something that comes to mind!

Is that Maybe it would be getting something special!
And having it in your stateroom?

We have done this for others with the Help of Shirley!
Simply mailed the items we wanted to her and she included them in one of her baskets!

We had a couple that Got married and Went to Disney for a couple of days, GF Honeymoon suite...
then on there 7 night cruise Giving us just enough time to have all the Disposable Cameras from the Wedding Developed.
Shipped them to Shirley, in the basket they went with a few other items.

The Bride was so very happy to have the wedding album, that we created for her..
and had No idea! how it all took place!
was in her stateroom a couple days later!
:lmao:

We just told her it was Disney Magic!!!

She knew we had something to do with it!
:rotfl:

I found that the CM's on the ships are more than happy to get in with you on special surprises if you let them know.

On our last cruise, my Hubby had his birthday. We collect pins (not a lot of them, but we each own about twenty) and so the day before, I went around and bought several pins he would like, then stopped at all the places we would be the next day. Palo's for tea, tracked down one of our servers for dinner, and to the salon as well as our room steward. I gave each of them one or two of the pins, and asked if they could be delivered for my husband the next day.

The surprises were so fun! At tea a pin was delivered in his cup. In the spa, it came pinned to his robe. At dinner, as the centerpiece of a plate swirled with chocolate. And when we got back to our room, not only had the steward used the pins in the towel animals, he'd made them the eyes of one of two swans who's necks made a heart shape, and sprinkled our bed with rose petals!

I'm sure that if you can come up with an idea for a surprise, you'll be able to find someone to facilitate it, and if you're having a hard time coming up with an idea, they'll come up with something romantic and/or fun.

BUMP!! Would like to think of something to do for my DH on our January cruise!
(1 year anniversary). :goodvibes

Is there perhaps an excusion that you had talked about but ruled out for a variety of reasons? Maybe something he would really like to do that would be difficult if you were to go again with your son? It could be fun to book that "behind his back".

Good luck!

P.S. Where are you on the Jersey Shore?

Wow that is awesome... but how did you buy them before your hubby did? :confused3 cause we are big traders and that is the 1st place he goes as soon as it opens is the store and the pin cart

Hubby and I have a rule. No buying anything for ourselves in the month leading up to our birthday. Well, at least not without approval. So he could not buy any pins until after his birthday.

I love this kind of creative giving to my wife.

On our 2 year, 2 month, 2 week, 2 day anniversery I sent my wife on a scavenger hunt. I gave her an envelope that had a clue which directed her to a location, which had the next clue, etc. until it ended with our daughter at a sitter overnight, and us enjoying dinner. At the 2 year, 2 month, 2 week, 2 day, 2 hour, 2 minute mark from us being declared husband and wife, a waiter brought a card for my wife surprising her -- since she had no clue what that day was all about.

Maybe something like that where you send him all over the ship -- 12 stops for 12 months together. 12 surprises until maybe it ends up back at Palo's with you, or someplace else for a final surprise :flower3:

Just an idea -- I am an incurable romantic.

My hubby wouldn't do it.. :guilty: That is not really his thing..

But that is a Beautiful thing you did for your wife.
