Help me spend my rental credit

I've got a credit with one of the DVC point rental companies from when I had to cancel my trip. I am looking into using it in early Jan for a birthday trip for my kids. It's 60 pts worth of credit and I don't mind going over some, but I don't want to be under. I also don't want to take more than 4 days off of work since we'll be taking a week long trip in April for spring break. Our favorite parks are MK and AK.

Here are my options:

AKL Kidani - 4 nights in savanna view studio (60 pts)

Poly - 4 nights in a standard studio (68 pts)

BWV - 3 nights in standard 1 bed (66 pts)

I think of those options, I'd go with AKL since it's bang on the number of points you want to spend. Also, with short park hours, you'll probably be spending a fair bit of time at the hotel. A savanna view room gives you an additional activity option if the weather is too cold to swim.

do you want our advice of where to stay at or do you want to see if the rooms are available? Highly doubt the 1 bedroom standard view at boardwalk is available but you never know at this covid time. Rooms are coming and going very quick now. So if someone checks might be available but once you get a hold of the rental company and they contact someone it might not be available.

Just want to add for others that we cannot look up and share what is available.

I would certainly decide quick as things change daily and are for January.

I am personally not an AKV fan but many love it and since that is one of your favorites, I’d go with that!

I’m a DVC member and can check availability which is how I came up with my list.

I’m leaning towards AKL as my kids would love to see the animals, but I’d love the Poly for the proximity to the TTC and more space.

They can easily share a pull out if there’s not a twin Murphy bed.

OK, Poly is the only one with the pull-down twin (well, smaller than a twin) Murphy bed. AKV has the queen bed and one pull-out sofa. Same with BWV. I see you said you were a DVC member so you might know that already.

While a 1 bedroom would give you more space, it is only for 3 or 4 nights....I would probably go with Poly or BWV, even though it is slightly more points than you have credit for...

You might know but if not Polynesian resort is going to remain shut down until July 21.
only dvc will be open. Going to be doing a lot of construction. Fixing roofs, re doing rooms, etc. didn’t matter to me as I just booked Polynesian dvc a couple days ago for December.Since I never stayed there.

yes I know, but it’s close to the TTC too so that makes up for it.

I’m pretty sure there is no monorail to Epcot still from the TTC. With limited dining options at all resorts and theme parks. While we don’t like to cook while on vacation. The full kitchen in the 1 bedroom BWV, is the one I would choose. You can walk to 2 parks. But having 1 less day is a bummer.

I'll take the 4 nights in the Savanna View studio at AKV.

You are asking us to help you spend your credit, right? I'm happy to help! 😉

But, seriously... I'd also recommend the Savanna View at AKV.
