I wish I could just hire someone for an hour to help me.... my daughter just got married and refused a free trip to disney to help me and I am sick of not going...
I don't know why this embarasses me but I am going to Disney by myself and I use a wheelchair. Here is the issue: there are very few things I can't do by myself but the airport drop off/pick up is the worst. My husband will handle the drop off at my origin but when I get to MCO I can get the "helper" (whom I tip well) to take me to the luggage from there I usually get an uber or town car. I will be alone and need a vehicle large enough to fit the wheelchair and someone understanding it takes an extra minute. The uber driver last time said I took too long. The towncar people tend to be very nice. I know the wheelchair fits in a mini van because it is what I have at home. Does anyone know anyone patient who can drive or tips for a place to rent from? I also need a ride back and just to be dropped off inside the doors to southwest. I have no issues tipping for help.
Once I get to the hotel I will have an ECV waiting so then I will have NO issues. It is just until I get the ECV. I was going to bring my ECV from home but there is no way I will find a vehicle big enough or I want to deal with the battery issues.
