After sorting through some hotels, I've been having trouble deciding which one is the best for us. I don't mind spending a little more for convenience but is $1500+ more worth it? We're going to disney for a week in June, and well have a one year old with us. I thought staying onsite would be most convenient but I also want a really comfortable bed/room with refrigerator. I've narrowed it down to:

Contemporary (~4700)
Polynesian (~4500)
Animal kingdom (~3100)

French quarters (~2500)
Swan (~2600; no magic express)
Hilton lake buena vista (~2300; no magic express)
Waldorf astoria (~2100; probably no magic hours or magic express)

all the prices were the lowest/standard rooms. Which one would you pick if you had a 1 year old traveling with you? I really want a room that's comfortable with a nice bed too and I know Hilton and Waldorf will probably have nice beds.

One of the monorail hotels with a 1 year old is going to be most comfortable and convenient. Though Animal Kingdom is a goregous hotel, it is a bit far from the MK.
Have you thought about the Wilderness Lodge? It usually prices similiar to AK. WL is not on the monorail but you do have a boat to MK

Thanks for the advice. I did look at WL but the whole theme doesn't appeal to me as much as polynesian.

With a one year old in tow I am assuming you'll be spending the majority of your time at MK, in which case I would recommend the Contemporary. You can beat a hasty retreat at any time out of the MK. Other than that, I would recommend the Swan since their beds are by far the most comfortable on property. You also have access to boats to EPCOT and DHS. You can't go wrong either way!

We loved our stay at the AKL back in November. The bus ride is only around 15 min to MK and the buses were quite good there. The pool area was very nice as were the hot tubs and loved the feeling of being secluded at the AKL even though the action is right around the corner. We enjoyed our stay at the Poly back in 09, however the pool was kind of small and always crowded. Also the bus service to other parks was not the best. Good luck with your choice and enjoy your trip. The bed linens both weren't the top of the line, but were comfortable.
