OK, Here is the deal. DH and I have never gone on a honeymoon...alone that is, we took the girls with us....so I booked a 4 day weekend @ the world without him knowing. I told him he needed to take off of work for that weekend because we were going to stay at the Embassy by the airport for 4 days just to get away.
Our flight is for 6:50am 11/19, so we really will be staying @ the Embassy on 11/18 so we are already there...what I need help with is this...

I want to go to the room at checkin, which is @ 3:00 and decorate the room somehow to let him know that we are really going to disney, leave and go home to get him after work, then when we go back it will be decorated already...any suggestions on how or what to do to suprise him...I really want to make it good!!! Thanks!!

bumping up to hopefully get some responses.......::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

You can create a miniature DisneyWorld environment. You can buy Cindy's castle at any toy store and look for miniature characters, like Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Mr. Potato Head, Mickey, etc... and place them around the room. You can buy miniature animals to mimick Animal Kingdom. Or, you can just hide the characters and other Disney momentos - like pins - around the room and as he finds them just act confused until he goes crazy and you tell him your secret.

Have a great trip!!!!!

I have been thinking of ideas all day.....here is what I came up with...what do you think....what if I were to order the disney grams out of the disney catalog(or on the disney store site) and have it personalized with "see ya real soon" I could put it on the bed with our park hoppers and plane tickets.....what do you think?????

bumping for some input from the evening disers.

Sounds like a great way to surprise him. There's a website where you can make your own personalized Disney shirts, sweatshirts, etc. click here

Maybe a personalized Tshirt with Mickey saying "Surprise" or something would be fun. too.

I'm surprising my DH for his birthday. He knows we're going but has NO IDEA what awaits him there. Its gonna be great!

I think the Disneygram is a great idea....perhaps hide it under his pillow or in the shower or perhaps someone at the front desk can deliver it once you are in the room.........That way it is not to much extra to pack when you head out to the airport.

Maybe you could make some washcloth animals like they do at the disney resorts?

I have thought about this for a few hours... I hope you do not find this disrespectful.... after all, it will be your "honeymoon".

Try to find a "nightie" - red or something and get the minnie mouse ears with bow....when your getting ready for bed...put it on and voila - surprise surprise surprise.....

He'll remember that for a long time to come....

Good idea...not disrespectful at alll...after all he is my hubby!!! Oh he would love that!!!!!:) :)

I was also thinking of something a little more romantic. How about having a bottle of champagne chilling, Mickey icon champagne glasses would be a nice touch. Accompany it with strawberries, grapes, cheeses, crackers, and Mickey chocolates. On this same table, have the plane tickets and passes wrapped in nice (adult type, maybe foil) Disney paper. Tell him you got him a gift to let him know how much you love him. Wow, what a gift! :) This would be the prelude to your romantic "honeymoon" trip alone. Of course, this would definitely be more effective in the red nightie. ;) Have a great trip!

What about a treasure hunt. Leave a trail of clues leading to the park and plane tickets. I think I will do that my DDs surprise trip to DLP.::yes::

You got some good ideas! I don't have a suggestion since there wouldn't be anything that I can add, but did want to mention some fun things to do once you get there.

I just returned from 5 days at WDW with my DH (kids stayed home). We went to Cirque Du Soleil, Pleasure Island, and did the "Around the World at Epcot" Segway tour. We enjoyed our trip a lot and the Segway tour was the highlight--a very fun and unusual thing to do.

I made sure that the trip was more centered around what my DH would like to do (he hadn't been in 3 years and won't be back for awhile--I'll be returning 2 more times by the end of January so I'll have plenty of time to see it all), with enough Tower of Terror thrown in to keep me happy.

Have fun with your planning!
