I've been searching and digging for some useful information on the lynx bus from DTD to Sea World. I have the bus schedule and the lynx website already, however I would really like some first hand experience.

Could someone tell me how long the bus ride is? Will I be able to put a stroller on the bus? Where do we get off and how long is the walk from the stop to the gates?

Sea World closes at 6pm on our day, but it looks like the bus runs very late. Does it always stop at Sea World or just when the park is open?

Thank you for your help! :goodvibes

We are going on 9-16 and using the lynx system and our friends will be bringing there stroller so we will let you know soon all about the trip:cool1:

The ride is about 25 mins. You must tell the driver you want to get off at SeaWorld..otherwise, they don't stop. It is NOT automatic. The bus will drop you at the entrance to the parking lot. You will have to cross the parking lot and then enter through the main gate.
At the end of your SeaWorld day, just exit the park, cross the parking lot, then cross the street. Down, to the left, you will see the bus stop sign, with the big paw print on it. Wait there and the bus will pick you up.

do you take? I didn't even know of this so thank you very much for posting your Q. Definitely much cheaper than taking a cab!

It's the lnyx bus route 50. It picks you up from DTD or the TTC and goes by Sea World.

Hope that helps! :goodvibes

Do yourself a favor. Grab a taxi at the resort or have a car service take you over to Sea World. In about 15 to 20 minutes you can over and back directly to your resort. The Lynx system, even though it is cheap, doesn't speak highly of public transportation.

I had a perfectly fine ride with Lynx. Got the bus at the TTC, paid my $1.50 (or whatever it was then per adult), rode the 20-25 mins to SeaWorld with some very pleasant CMs on their way home. Walked the 5 mins across the parking lot.
When it was time to leave, I pretty much knew when the bus would be along...went out to the bus stop area, across the street from SW, waited about 10 mins, got on the bus and went back to my resort.
It was a much better bus ride than what I get up here in Mass!! Much cleaner and much nicer clientel!!

Is it for everyone? No, probably not. But it certainly isn't awful. It's public transportation...not a Disney bus.

Last year my DS7 and I also took the Lynx bus to Seaworld and back with no problem. Funniest part is that I was so used to getting on the "free" Disney buses that I forgot to pay and the Lynx bus driver didn't even ask me for the bus fare. I didn't realize this until we were already at Seaworld. :rotfl:

We did see a 'review' here awhile back from someone who was apparently expecting something other than public transportation, and was extremely disappointed. It's a bus - a city bus, just like any other city bus around North America; no better, no worse.

Just because it stops at the TTC doesn't mean that it will have pixie dust falling from the ceiling. OP, so long as you realize that and expect public transportation, you will be fine.

Having said that, I would consider the travel time required, fares x number of people, and the value of taking a taxi or shuttle. For some readers, the value isn't there - for others it is.

Good thing I'm used to public transportation. I lived in the city Boston for 6 years and had no car so I always used public transportation. Glad to hear it's not a bad ride, I look forward to using it in Dec!

I think you'll find the Lynx bus much better than the 'T' buses!!!

I think the bus stop at DTD is over by Cirque. The only issue with that bus stop is ease of getting there. The buses to DTD don't start running all that early. It's really easier to get to the TTC stop...bus to MK then monorail or boat to TTC. It is about $1.50 per person, each way. Be sure to have exact change. The bus runs twice an hour if I remember correctly. Go to their site to get the exact times, both heading to SW and returning to WDW.

My son tried to find the bus stop late at night and got bad directions and missed it....so make sure you know where the pick up stop is at the end of the day.

We luckily had a car and could go pick him up at 11pm...Fortunately he had friends staying at the Renaissance Sea World and could hang with them until we picked him up.

Could someone explain where the bus stop is located for our trip back to our resort?

We've got three little ones and I'm just not sure it will be worth it to do this with them. Might be easier to use a shuttle?
