I need everyone's help thinking of an excuse for taking a few days off of work in November...
Okay, so here's the deal...
I don't want to use any vacation time (which will be used for a WDW trip in January
) or any personal time (since I plan on being sick for a long weekend sometime around April...
), so I am going to just have to take time off, which my company is really, really particular about. I HAVE to have a GOOD excuse, and it HAS to be submitted in writing AT LEAST 19 days before said requested time off. Needless to say, I found out about something I really want to do a couple weekends from now, which is unfortunately 16 days from tomorrow, which is when I will be submitting my request.
I really just want the time off to go somewhere with friends and slack off in a big way. I can't tell my boss that, and he would NOT give me time off for that either.
So I need an excuse, because I think that if I have a good one, my boss might just let the fact that my request wasn't submitted in time slide. He's sort of nice like that... I hope.
I thought of a wedding or a baby shower out of town, but I would have known about those kinds of events well in advance.
You really can't "plan" a funeral...
So, here's where you all come in. Does anyone have any really good suggestions? Anything?

Or just mention the word "Female" problems and you'll probably get the day WITH pay and he quickly retreats. Men don't want to hear about that stuff.
