We're going to be at WDW from Dec. 28 to Jan. 17 and I want to surprise dh with a Richard Petty Driving Experience for his Christmas present! Trying to decide between the "Rookie Experience" ($350/8 laps) and the "King experience" ($700/18 laps I think). I know I've read that the rookie experience leave's them wishing for more, so I may go all out for the more expensive deal. What would you do? We're not rich--normally we only spend maybe $50-$100 on each other for Christmas, but I just have to do this for him--he was in a bad car accident in July (an unlicensed driver pulled a u-turn in front of him) and shattered his femur and hip and he was laid up for 5 months--he suffered alot and he deserves this!
Also, I'm debating if I should wrap up a little Hot Wheels car for him to open on Christmas day and tell him all about it then so he can savor the anticipation, or if I should just tell him that he'll get his Christmas gift at WDW and totally surprise him by just driving him there on the day he's scheduled?
He is going to be ecstatic about this--he's a mechanic and a total car nut. Any other ideas on how I can make this dream-come-true for him even better?
TIA,
Sue
