First of all, my dd is a very mature 12yo so no mickey ears or stuff like that. She doesn't know about this trip. She has been to Orlando area at least 15+ times. I am going to pick her up from an activity with her luggage in the car (ok she won't be happy she didn't get to pack her little diva stuff herself). And off we go. I want to hand her a package or album or something like that so she can guess where we are going.

First stop Universal at RPH for 3 nights. I will include the tickets to Blue Man Group I have, but want to add some other items. We are doing the luau and likely 2 days at the parks.

Then after 4 days off we head to Disney. I want to pretend we are headed home. I did get this as she loves it

The one entitled "My Opinion"

I plan to have her get her haircut at Barbershop as she has never had it done. Want to go to TRex (she loves it) but can't get ressies. maybe do the balloon. Yak and Yeti res as she loves that place. Oh yeah we hate EE so please no one kill me for that.

After 4 nights/5 days we are off to Seaworld/Aquatica for 3 nights. Same as before I want to pretend we are headed home before I hand her something. So what can I do/get? I'm never very good at this kind of thing. I want it to be good. Any ideas? I'm sure everyone here is more creative than I am. Thanks

Wow, what an amazing adventure! And all a surprise?! Can I be your DD?;)
Seriously, that sounds like one memorable trip!!
I have friends that have seen The Blue Man Group show with kids your DD's age, and they enjoyed it. The luau at the RPH is very nice, we enjoyed it.
It's hard to know what kind of things to surprise her with for Universal, but maybe a little travel bag...a gift bag decorated with tropical stickers, nice ones found at craft stores? In it, you could put a silk flower lei, blue nail polish, a disposable camera, a tropical lip gloss, stuff like that, or even travel sized items.

The snow globe is precious, a nice memory to have! Don't give up on T-Rex. Keep calling them directly and if all else fails, walk up...we were there not long ago and it was crazy busy but they were still taking walk-ups. The Characters in Flight balloon ride is amazing!! It was really fun. Just so different and cool to do. It's not as intimidating as it looks. I'm not a fan of heights, but you don't feel it much when you are up there. Just really fun and memorable!

We've never been to Sea World or Aquatica, so maybe someone else can offer some suggestions, but perhaps you can look on-line at their merchandise shops to get an idea? My DD11 likes postcards, scrapbooks, girly stuff...maybe a small scrapbook that has sealife on it? A new bathing suit or beach towel for Aquatica? (or flip flops? girls can never seem to have enough of them!)

Have a great great trip! :)

Sounds like a great trip!

Sea World has behind the scenes tours you can take. I believe they offer 3. We took my nephews on one last year where we got to meet a penguin, see polar bears, etc. It only took an hour or so and didn't take to much time out of our day. It was really neat and something different to do.

Also at sea world they have some dining that you can book ahead of time like dinner with shamu.

Have a great time!

Thanks everyone. Keep the great ideas coming. I'm making a list in my notebook, and I will give everyone an update on what I finally do.:flower3:

We did the dinner with Shamu and also the behind the scenes with the penguin. Both were a lot of fun. I would definitely do the Shamu dinner again.

How about a lanyard and some pins for trading at WDW.

We spent spring break at US/IOA and my kids are teens. One of the things they are still talking about was sitting out on the deck at Margaritaville, listing to the music, sipping frozen drinks (non-alcholic).

The Universal parks have kiosks where they braid hair, My daughter liked that.

I also did a Gifts of a Lifetime scavenger hunt in Epcot as a surprise for she and her friend. They thought it was a blast.
