Help me plan a Princess Day in late September - couldn't get princess dining or A&E

We are going to Disney Sep. 20-25. My daughter is a princess freak. I wasn't able to get any ADRs for CRT or Akershus. I stayed up until midnight when my fastpass window opened and wasn't able to get A&E fastpasses either. I'm still looking every day, but just in case I'm not able to get either of these, can someone help us plan a princess day without those? I'm not even telling my daughter that meeting Anna and Elsa is an option if I'm not able to get the passes. I'm not willing to wait in line half the day to see them. We plan on being there at RD (We are going to MK on Sep. 21st and 23rd).

She is seven and this is her first visit to Disney.

My advice to keep checking every day on Akershus. Stuff opens up all the time and if you check frequently you could definitely get this one. Also there are various princess attractions you can get much more easily than A&E.

There is also the Perfectly Princess tea party (with Aurora). But that is at Grand Floridian and is a 90 minute event which costs around three hundred dollars (counting you and your daughter). However, the reviews I've read indicate it is worth it for a Princess lover around your daughter's age.

I looked up the princess tea party and I personally don't want to spend that kind of money. We are also bringing her brother (we adopted her and her brother lives with their biological grandparents) so they both have a reservation at the pirate's league where she can do the mermaid option. Besides Anna and Elsa, Ariel is her favorite princess.

1900 park fare at the GF has a happily ever after dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the stepsisters!

Much easier reservation to get. Also, if the BBB is out of budget/interest, you can get the "flower girl package" at the GF salon which I believe includes having hair done and light makeup. Just bring a tiara, or a dress and go all out if you want!

Be sure to stop by Cinderella Fountain to get a sip of water from the water fountain and "crown" cinderella. Make sure to see Cinderella of course at Princess Fairytale hall. Fairy godmother meets behind the castle in the mornings.

Stop by BBB in the castle for a free "pixie dusting" of glitter on your princesses hair.

If your budget allows, the GF has a perfectly princess tea (though the price is kind of outrageous at around $300). They also have a regular tea which is much more affordable and has kid friendly tea/sandwiches

Keep checking for CRT/Akershus. the 45 day mark stuff should open up as well as the days right before the trip. You just never know. Same for A&E, as well as the tip about getting overlapping FP times instead of the same one.

LOL, as an aside I booked a perfectly princess tea party for my sister and her daughter. As they were telling me what was involved I was ready to jump at it instantly. It is so right up a Princess lover's alley. Then they told me the price and I was all, "uhhhhhhh…..can I call you right back?" I had to check with my sister to be sure she was OK spending that kind of money. Yeeeeeikes. But like I said, I read several reviews just looking for the one talking about what a waste of time and money it was, but I never found it. Everyone seemed to think it was a really special mother-daughter memory. So we booked.

I'm sure my daughter would be ALL OVER IT, but just way too much money for me to spend. My husband is pretty cheap to begin with so how I managed to convince him to even go to Disney is beyond me!

Use 2 of your FP+ for VoTLM & Ariel's Grotto M&G. Keep trying for A&E & CRT, & for CRT try for B,L & D times. :surfweb:pixiedust:

I hear you. I think my sister's logic ended up being, well, what the heck, it's Disney and everything is going to be insanely expensive, what's a few hundred for something that will be a slam dunk? Particularly since we had been shut out at CRT (not a surprise) and I was nervous about being able to get a FP for A&E. But yeah, I'm positive the reason we were able to book it so easily is because most do shy away from what is an astronomical price tag. And you have to prepay it. I paid for the whole thing over the phone already and my sister is reimbursing me. In a way, it's better. Take the punch now rather than 60 days from now.

Definitely give 1900 Park Fare a look. The first time we went there five years ago it was because we could not get a reservation for CRT and my daughter wanted to see Cinderella. Our experience there with the Step Family was hilarious and we have gone back to that restaurant every trip since. My daughter is not very into the princesses anymore but could not be a bigger fan of the stepsisters!

1. FP for meeting Cindy & Rapunzel

2. FP for Meeting Ariel at her grotto

3. Stand in the line to meet the fairy godmother by the castle

4. Eat at Be Our Guest for lunch (choose the West Wing with the magic rose), Take a picture at the exit of Belle & Beast in stained glass

5. Ride the Ariel ride

6. Take your potty break by Rapunzel tower

7. Do other rides, then try to have dinner at Akershus (IMO, easier princess ADR to get based on experience).

Also, be sure to check out Enchanted Tales with Belle in MK. If you're going to HS, there are rumors that the Frozen stuff is being extended. Also, the Beauty and the Beast show is there (HS) as well as an Ariel show. Epcot - look for times but there are lots of character meetings in the countries.

These are all great suggestions. Thanks!

I've looked at 1900 Park Fare and there's nothing open but breakfast, which isn't princesses, right?

Alice is at Park Fare for breakfast.
I am very surprised that dinner is not available for all of your nights dinners. A little while back the online system was having some type of glitch where it wasn't available when it really was. You should definitely re-check that one!

I just checked and 1900 wasn't available for a reservation for dinner any time in the next few months....
I'm pretty sure there is some type of problem with the system!

You can also call. Sometimes it can go a bit faster.

Definitely keep checking. Completely by chance I saw a 5:30pm CRT for October 1 and it was very tough not to snatch it up for my sister and her family. But that is their Akershus night and frankly, she and her husband will probably really dig EPCOT and the whole Food and Wine thing. I'm positive they would rather spend that time in EPCOT because our stay will already be so MK heavy. But I never expected to see a CRT reservation at such a great time.

I saw, thanks! I don't have ten posts yet (working on it), so I can't respond. Haven't gotten CRT

I know you are going to MK on 9/21 and 9/23. I have a reservation for CRT on 9/24. It is for 2 people. We have been to CRT before and I would be willing to release it. I can go to Akershus instead :) Let me know. I plan on keeping them if you don't want it. That's why I didnt post on the ADR Cancellation thread.
