If you had to choose, would you do a world of color dining package or paint the night dining package? We are going Thanksgiving week if that helps with your decision:)

So far there are no PTN dining packages. Doesn't mean there won't be though.

If it was me I would book both then decide which to cancel when reports come out on the PTN package. I'm not sure how excited I am if the viewing area stays on the back side of the hub in Town Square.

My problem is we will be there the first night it shows. So we will have no idea what to expect (assuming one becomes available).

This is our first trip to DL ( we are WDW vets) so I'm a bit overwhelmed. I finally got used to the idea that you don't have to plan so far ahead and we always like the original fast pass system. Now I feel like our trip is getting close and I'm not prepared:/

It's ok. You'll be fine. We are WDW vets so I totally get that feeling.

I think the single greatest thing you can do is ask your questions and learn the ins and outs of FP at DLR.

Plus, it will be a fairly busy week, so make any ADRs you might want to avoid waiting in lines for food.

At WDW you would likely already be blocked out of certain experiences. That's not the case at DLR.

there is a PTN dining package, definitely do that over WOC dining. You can get fastpasses for WOC. I don't think I would get WOC dining anyway unless I was going to eat at one of those resteraunts. WOC is very much a let down from Illuminations. PTN is unique to DL and really quite awesome. Its the only parade I willingly sit through.

Another option is the WOC dessert party, where you actually get a seat for the show.

Between WOC dining package and PTN dining package I'd go PTN because it's coming back for a "limited time" and its future is kinda unknown. WOC will always have some sort of show running.

I would do the WoC dessert package over either of the other two. :)

Paint the night is just a great show in general, way better than world of color. HOWEVER - if your choice is based on "which of these am I more likely to get a crappy seat?" the answer would be WOC, especially if you have little kids. PTN, if you are willing to wait it out, you can get good seats just by virtue of staking out a seat. WOC is a crapshoot even with fastpass, and you have to stand there forever. I haven't done WOC dessert party but just after reading reviews of the reserved dining package seating vs dessert party, dessert party sounds like it's more worth the money.

I don't think I would ever pay extra to view the parade. it is easy to get a good view without the package. I agree with the pp who said it is harder to get a good view of WOC. my vote is for that one, although if you added option 3: woc dessert package, I would vote for that one.

There are 6 of us and two don't like dessert so the Dessert party would be just paying for chairs:) I think I may go with PTN????
