THIS IS A WONDERFUL SITE IT HAS VERY GOOD INFO. THANKS.

I'M NEW ,THIS IS ACTUALLY OUR FIRST TRIP TO WDW ,MY 2 DAUGHTERS AND HUBBY, I HAVE READ ABOUT THE RESTAURANTS BUT I'M CONFUSES, AND I NEED YOUR HELP , WHICH RESTAURANTS WOULD YOU RECOMMEND , WE HAVE A RESERVATION FOR 6 DAYS . ARE THERE ANY BUFFETS?? :earsgirl:

Welcome to the Disboards!

Here are my tips:

1. Make an itinerary. You can't make AR's unless you know where you want to be (MK, Epcot, etc.)

2. Go to allears dining menus
http://allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm

3. You have to do your research!!! When you find places you are interested in- ie are in a good location in relation to your itinerary and you like the prices, menu listings, etc. make a list of those possibilities and search this forum using the search tab at the top. There are many many many threads reviewing all the different restaurants. You can search a specific place, read threads marked "best dining exp" or "worst dining exp" etc. All will give you valuable information.

4. People have different tastes, priorities, etc. so only you can pick what's best for you.

Good luck!

Edited to add: I just saw your ticker Oh my goodness! You're leaving in a little over a month. You may not know this, but since restaurants take ADR's (advance dining reservations) 90 days in advance, many places may not have an availibility for you! Keep this in mind! Look for less busy places and perhaps increase your counter service. There is at least one thread about great counter service places, especially in World Showcase.

Definitely a character meal. Since you're pretty close to your trip you probably won't be able to get CRT, but I would suggest Chef Mickey and 1900 Park Fare because those are the only two I've had the pleasure of enjoying. Both are buffet style.

How about a nice steak dinner for DH? Yachtsman Steakhouse, Portobello and Fulton's all come to mind.

There are a variety of restaurants at Downtown Disney ... Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Bongos, Wolfgang Puck to name a few.

Have a great time!

Great thanks for the info. I will call tomorrow ,I hope can get a reservation at one of the character meals.

Chef Mickey's is a must. Each person must experience it at least once! Call immediately. Sci Fi is another one of our family favorites (MGM). I have to agree with Lululovesdisney, you have to make an itinerary, then go from there with where you will eat. (which park, which day). Another family favorite is Ohana in the Polynesian, you leave there so full. Good luck securing your ADR's! And most of all have a GREAT TRIP!

with or w/o itenerary... O'hana a must it's buffet and you get alot of extra's when you're timing is right ! Electric Water Parade, The Wishes Fireworks, games your giurls would enjoy even us adults loves to learn how to Hula and the most esp;ly the FOOD :wizard:

:flower:Thanks to all : LuluLovesDisney,DeterminedOne,pinkpiglettlover,ANTSS2001.
Great suggestions so far so good, we have an intinerary now:

::: Concourse Steak House-Contemporary Resort

:::Epcot- Princess Story Breakfast at Akershus

:::Aminal Kingdom-Ohana @ 6:30 would that would be a good timing for all the extras ANTSS2001 ;Electric Water Parade, The Wishes Fireworks?

:::Magic Kingdom-Buffet at the Crystal Palace (pooh and friends)

:::MGM-Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater @ 3:50 :guilty: Don't know if this a good time?, the Customer Repr. told me the park will close at 11:30 pm and the parade is a must i still think is kind of early...

:::Cinderelalla's Gala Feast at 1900 park Fare

Any other suggestions , or a change maybe???

I heard so much about the strawberry soup, cinderrella dessert, where can we get that???

If Wishes is 9pm (or later) the night you are at O'hana you will be in great position to view it. You can monorail over to the Magic Kingdom or view it from the beach at the Poly. The Electrical Water Parade is a little after Wishes. You would get a great view of that from the Poly or from anywhere outside the Magic Kingdom.
Judging by your posts you need to do a lot of learning about Walt Disney World in the next month. Please don't go assuming it is just an amusement park....it is SO much more. Get some ideas now about what parks you want to be in on what days. Since you have made numerous dining reservations let that guide you. You don't want to be at one side of WDW and have a dining reservation on the other side. Be in the park you will be eating in (or the park closest to that resort). Keep in mind that WDW is HUGE!!!!!
Look over the tons of info on allearsnet.com and mousesaver.com. Keep asking away here on the DIS. We are all here to help each other. :flower:
