Help me pick ONE CHARACTER meal for gang OF ALL AGES!

All the responses are great-keep 'em comin'! :cool1:

While Chef Mickey's does have all the classic characters I think the atmosphere there is frenetic! I much prefer the food at Crystal Palace, I love the antics at Donald's Breakfastosaurus, and Cape May Buffet. We had a great supper at LLT, DD (22) was hoping for Meeko, but no luck. And when it comes to napkin waving, I'll take Whispering Canyon Cafe on any night -- even tho there aren't any characters.

what about liberty tree tavern for dinner? I have not seen a mention of that one? i really enjoyed it!

I was going to post the same thing! We had a great time at LTT for dinner. The food is just your average fare, but the characters were great and were all having a blast with everyone! Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip n Dale were all so wonderful!

Chef Mickey's was slightly more fun (everyone gets into the whole music and napkin swinging thing!), but the food was absolutely putrid the night we were there. As someone else said, the best part of the meal was the dessert bar! Definitely go for the really fun character interaction, not the food.

We love the dinner buffet at Cape May the best, but the atmosphere at Chef Mickey's can't be beat.

Sounding like a broken record here but another vote for Chef Mickey's! That is one place we enjoy the most and always have. We go there at least 3 or 4 times each trip. Food is good, not awesome but good. I actually liked it better than my disappointment at the far more expensive Narcoosee's. For best character food, my choice is 1900 Park Fare but the characters were IMHO pretty boring and the atmosphere MUCH more subdued. Chef Mickey's is a party all the time! How can you not feel great while being there?!?! Another more subdued one with okay characters and definately good food is Cape May Cafe Breakfast and dinner!!! MMM-M! I'd do that one over 1900 just for the atmosphere personally. Fun thing at that one, we were there for dinner one evening and they had a strolling singer with a guitar. It was Christmas time. He stopped at our table and went to sing Jingle Bells for our 3 year old. Well, thanks to my HUBBY  Nick didn't know ( or wasn't AS familiar with..) the regular version of Jingle Bells, just the Batman smells version. LOL So the guy got down on his knees and quietly sung it for my son! It was the COOLEST thing He loved it and we did too. What a WONDERFUL man he was! Those are the BEST CMs!

I haven't been to Chef Mickey's - but we loved Crystal Palace for supper when we were there in April 2004. And we had a Grand Gathering of all ages - BIL, SIL, DH, and me - all 20 something, MIL 55, Dnephews 8 & 4, and DD 4.

:flower: Definitely Chef Mickey's...

Here is why....seeing the ages of your children, although I personall love Crystal Palace's atmosphere the bst, Chef Mickey's is more neutral to ages of your family.
My 8 year old is just starting to be too "cool" for Pooh characters....and maybe your 18yr old (young man, right?) might feel a bit old for them too.

This is just my opinion.....let us know what your decision is... :flower:

DD7 says, "Chef Mickey's!"- it has lots of great classic characters and is in the Contemporary, which has a cool atmosphere with the monorails whizzing by and all the hustle and bustle. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Crystal Palace for breakfast. Go first thing in the morning when it opens.
Do 8 am ADR's go quickly for The Crystal Palace? :confused3

I would do Chef Mickey's. Your group has a big age range going and I think that this would best suit every body. I thought the food was tasty and the character interaction was great. We toured the MK early in the morning then went to the last breakfast seating. The food was fresh and hot and we had the characters practically to ourselves since the place was empty. Overall I found this to be the best.
