Okay, I think I'm all set except for *one* meal, and I just can't decide! :cool1:

We're staying at the Poly Dec10-14... And so far:
10th: Dinner at 'Ohana
11th: Princess Storybook Breakfast at Akershus (and later MVMCP in the evening)
12th: [ ??? ] this is my big empty spot... I figure we may want to sleep in a little and have a slow morning after the MVMCP, and then be flexible about where we spend our day...
13th: Breakfastosaurus
14th: MK, DTD and BibbidiBB, CS meal day

The kids really loved the character meals last time, so I would consider adding a third to our week, but I could also be convinced of something else with good food and some sort of special ambience for the kiddos (who are very used to behaving themselves in adult places, so that's a possibility too). We've done CP, LTT and 1900PF in the past, so I'd like something different and not breakfast...
I was considering:
Chef Mickey
Garden Grill
Whispering Canyon (would it be worth going all the way to WL on Disney transportation for this?)
Biergarten (ds has been interested in Germany since the World Cup :lmao: )

Recommendations? Something else I should consider? (I was thinking about Boma too, but just read a recent thread that indicated the food was bland and less interesting than in the past... Thoughts?)

Thank you all! (I'm having so much fun obsessing about all this!)

I would do Boma. It's not just dinner. You get to go around the resort and see the animals etc..... I also love the food there!
Another choice of mine would be WCC- lots and lots of fun!!!! We went for dinner there and had a great time and good food. ( I do think the food at Boma is quite a bit better than wcc)
Chef Mickey's - I did not care for the food here at all but if you want to go and see Mickey and the gang then this is the place to be. :)

We are doing

Chefy Mickey it is a must do for us the charcters get involved with the kids twirl napkins etc!!! Food is great for a buffett!

Crystal palace is another very good character buffett if you like pooh eeyore and piglet and tigger!

This time which will be a first for us we are doing Whispering Canyon Cafe in Wilderness Lodge I've always wanted to try it just never have no real reason! So we are now!

We have heard lots of reviews on 1900 parkfare we are doing this biuffet for a first this time!

Then our last day we are doing Tony's Town Square they have italian food and steaks etc.. not a charcter meal but I've heard good reviews on it!

Hope this helps some!

Colleen

We always enjoy the Garden Grill, good character interaction but if it's not an Epcot day it wouldn't be worth it.

Personally I would choose WCC. It's aimed at the kids transportation would be easy if you left from MK or the Poly (Monorail to Cont. & the boat from there to WL). It might be fun to take a relaxing morning and then go for lunch before heading to which ever park right from WL.

Have fun planning! :wave2:

my kids love the concourse steakhouse at the contemporary. the food is outstanding and the ambiance with the monorails going by overhead is so cool! my kids also loved the glow cube drinks and the painters pallete desserts! :)

1900 Park Fare, Cape May's, Liberty Tree Tavern, these are all winners.

I loved biergarten (if you go when the band is there it is very entertaining) and garden grill is pretty decent food. Buffet style like at Liberty Tree Tavern plus the restaurant moves while you eat.
