Help me pick an MK Table Service for Lunch

It will be just DH and myself. Trying to go off the beaten path and eat at places we have skipped in the past. For lunch at MK should we do LTT or Skipper Canteen? I have always heard wonderful things about LTT but just by looking at the menu I have never understood the hype? SC on the other hand had so much build up and seems like more negative than positive when they did finally open and it was disappointing. If it matters we will also be on the DxDDP so we will have apps, entrees, and dessert. I am honestly open to either and any POV you great dining people have on here!

Skippers Canteen was great. It is getting bad reviews because the food is a little more out there. I had the "mac and cheese" which is not a tradition mac and cheese but still very good. Closer to how we make ours at home with a béchamel sauce instead of processed cheese sauce. I also had the arepas. Only complaint with the arepas was the plating. I think if you want someone to eat something a certain way it should be served that way. I can't remember what my fiance had but he cleaned both his app and entree plates.

LTT is great if you want decent versions of American classics (that the kids won't complain about), but if you're looking for something unusual, it's not your place.

Skipper Canteen- hands down. The appz there are wonderful! For what its worth, LTT is always a fail for us (minus the desert)- we always wait a long time, the food is meh, and service slow. Skipper Canteen was fun, timely, service was wonderful, and the food delish!

We loved skipper canteen! I would go back just for the kungaloosh dessert

We have Diamond Horseshoe booked for this trip that looks incredibly good!

The menu reminds me a lot of Whispering Canyon Café. So if you may want to take a look at that if that interests you.

I like both restaurants, but would go with Skippers if given the choice. We found their apps are where they really excel, but everything we had was delicious. I think the negativity is largely from people that didn't like the choices, but of course we all have our own taste buds and opinions.

Another vote for Skipper's--love, love, love it. Can't get an ADR for December though----yet!

We ate at the Skippers Canteen and we did not like it. We are not picky eaters either.
We wanted to try it so we did but probably wont go back.

With the DxDDP, Skippers Canteen would be a solid choice to check out unique appies & maximize the value of your plan for that meal. In the end, its really a question of whether the menu appeals to you.

We love LTT...it's put go to lunch place in MK...honestly besides the plaza it's probably the only TS lunch place we like in MK...we usually will go to a resort for a lunch. MK doesn't have to many good lunch options
