Help me pick a site

I am staring at the map trying to pick a loop. We will be tent camping with no pets. I realize I won't be very close to the main pool as they are all cabins up there, but I would like to be as close as a tent camper can be, and close to a comfort station as well. Any suggestions? On the map I can't tell which loops are cabins and which are campsites.

Just as well. You can't tent camp with a pet...well, maybe if you board it for the duration. And cabins are not close to the main pool. Cabins are 2000-2800, and are toward the entrance to the Fort. Most loops have a comfort station, but some share a CS with an neighboring loop. there are several designations for campsites: premium, preferred, full, and partial. Tents CAN be put in any of these, but the premium do not have a convenient place to stake tents down. I'll let tenters answer any specific tent location questions.

I was finally able to figure out how to match up the pdf map I found on here with the map of the campground in the Disney site, and make sense of what loops (#'s) were campsites and not cabins. I've decided on loop 1200 or 1300. So excited! Not our first time to Disney, but it will be our first time at Fort Wilderness.

If you are tent camping those loops dont have any place to stake down a tent. Best bet for Tents is 1500 or 2000 which are Partial Sites.

The 1500 loop is closer to the main pool, the 2000 loop is further away with less bus noise. If you take the bus to the pool from the 2000 loop, you would have to take one then switch to another.

Or walk, there is a bridge from 2000 to 1000, thru the loop, cross to 600 and take path to pool.

Blah...I picked 2000 and wish I had picked 1500. I guess I can always call to switch it. But we are booked! May 5-9.
