Help me pick a resort please

We are trying to not break the bank so were looking at the Moderates or values. Last visit we stayed at the Caribbean Beach and we all loved it. So this time we are looking at the All Star Music, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs. I really think I am narrowed down to the CRB and Coronado. What is the transportation situation at Coronado? What are highlights and lows for each of the resorts? TIA

We enjoyed Coronado, and the pool was nice. We also enjoyed the qs at the pool. But truth be told, I hated relying on a bus for everything. We got a good deal that also included the dining plan, so we decided to try it. We've always stayed in deluxe in the Epcot area, but I wanted to try it and am glad we did. I would say to try it since you've already stayed at CBR.

CBR is the Skyliner hub, with lines direct to DHS or Epcot. Pop has Skyliner too, but you transfer at CBR. All other transportation (MK & AK) for CBR and Pop is via bus. All transportation for CSR and AllStars is via bus. Personally, we’d pick Pop or CBR because of the Skyliner, which also provides easy access to restaurants at Riviera, Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach, and Swan/Dolphin.

I have always wanted to stay at CBR, but it has been more than I would like to spend whenever I've looked. I have stayed at CSR twice, once in 2010 and again last October after the new additions and absolutely loved it! It has a calm atmosphere with many options for dining and for walking around and I truly felt like I was on vacay there. The only thing I wish it had was more transportation options besides the bus.

I'd give Pop a try if you're looking to save on the cost, we had a great stay there and it now has the skyliner, even better.

I just got back from Coronado Springs and can’t recommend it enough. It is truly a beautiful resort even in the older buildings where we stayed. The tower and lobby are stunning. It feels on par with the deluxe resorts I’ve visited. We had originally booked Pop and upgraded about two months ago as it was only like $40/night more due to a promotion. SOOOOO happy we did. The dining situation alone is worth staying at CSR.

Honestly the buses weren’t too bad. Leaving the parks at closing time they were always pretty quick. In the mornings we never waited more than 15 min.

Coronado Springs is my favorite moderate resort. I could go on all day listing pros. the only con, IMO, is that your transportation is bus only. That has never bothered me because I'm willing to uber when I just don't want to wait, but it may bother you.

If you liked CBR, I would suggest going back there.

I love the theming and main pool at CBR and we're really excited to go back now that the skyliner is there. However, if you are looking for something new, I really enjoyed my stay at Coronado Springs. Like CBR, the main pool is really nice and the dining options are excellent.

We've done CBR before and had a great time (before the refurbs) and chose CSR next trip. It'll be our first time there and we are so excited. We chose it for the awesome pool, multiple food options, TS options, bar/drink options, the grounds look so pretty and it's centrally located. Even though Beach Club is our favorite and we love being able to walk to the parks, we don't mind having to take the buses. We will uber if necessary. We actually had to uber once from BWI to AK because the buses were bad that day. Transportation can be bad at any resort.

They're all nice. As others note, I agree that the biggest drawback to CSR is the bus situation. The bus does a loop that involves four stops for Ranchos, Cabanas, Casitas, and the Tower.

The SkyLiner at CBR is awesome.

(And I know you've said you've narrowed it to those two resorts, but our favorite moderate is POFQ. It is conveniently located for EPCOT, MK, and DHS. And it's quiet and intimacy appeals to us. I think it's often overlooked.)

CSR is beautiful and feels like a deluxe resort never had an issue with using the buses there, we also love CBR but if you want the feel of a deluxe CSR all the way!

Echoing what a lot of people have already said, I love Coronado, particularly Gran Destino Tower. I think the lobby looks like a more beautiful and colorful Riviera. I'm also not anti-bus, as Animal Kingdom Lodge is bus-only and it's by far my favorite resort on property.

That said, I REALLY love the Skyliner. More than the monorail, more than boats, more than walking, it's my favorite way to get around property. Even though the rooms are showing their age, I think the Skyliner hub at Caribbean Beach might be enough to put it over the top.

I'll also add, Coronado has some good TS dining available, but their QS situation is unforgivably bad.
