Hello... we are finally going back to DW this september and I need some help with restraunt choices. We will be there for 8nights, 9 days and we need to choose 8 TS restraunts for our trip. Our travel party is me,28, DH29, DD4 and DD 19months. We are looking to try new places and want all places to be 1 credit. So what 8 places would you choose?????

Thanks

1. For DD's 1900 Parke Fare dinner- (if you think they won't be frighten of the step-sisters)...if they will then switch my vote to Norway Breakfast

2. CP for any meal!

3. Chef Mickey's or Garden Grill (Depending on whether you want more uproar, or more relaxed)

4. Kona or Ohana (Depending on whether you want excitment, or relaxed)

5. Wolfgang Puck Cafe

6.Chefs de France

7. WCC

8. Beaches and Cream

I would also pick
Crystal Palace, have only done dinner there and love it!!
1900 Park for the Princess dinner or Norway for breakfast
Sci Fi is cool for the atmosphere ( tables are caes)
Biergarten in Epcot is a great comfort food buffet and kids get to dance
Chef Mickey's is on my list to try
Garden Grill is good too
Tusker House Breakfast with the characters
Hollywood & Vine with the lil'Einsteins
These places are all very kid oriented!

Crystal Palace definitely, since your kids are so young. Also, Coral Reef (again, same reason), Hollywood and Vine for lunch, Chef Mickey's, Ohana for breakfast, 1900 Park Fare, Tusker House for breakfast. (Hey--that looks a lot like my ADRs.)

A few of my suggestions would be:

1. Chef Mickey's (breakfast and/or dinner)

2. Cape May Cafe (breakfast and/or dinner)

3. Kona

4. Ohana

5. Boma

6. Wispering Canyon Cafe

These are our personal favorites.

Chef Mickey's
Liberty Tree Tavern
Ohana with Lilo and Stitch
Akershus with Princesses
50's Prime Time
Crystal Palace
Donald's Breakfast in AK

We are trying Whispering Canyon & Beaches and Cream in Sept, but I have heard good things about them.

1. Chef Mickey's
2. Crystal Palace
3. Kona Cafe
4. Coral Reef
5. Sci-Fi
6. 1900 Park Fare OR Norway breakfast
7. Ohana
8. Biergarten:goodvibes

Well, here's the 7 we chose and the one we sadly left off.

1. Whispering Canyon
2. Ohana dinner
3. 1900 Park Fare
4. Chef Mickey
5. Crystal Palace breakfast (dinner is good too)
6. Biergarten
7. Sci-Fi
I let our dd's pick the final list and Boma got left off, we've only eaten at Whispering Canyon. All the rest are new to us. Ones we've tried and liked are Ohana breakfast (great for kids), Coral Reef and 50's Prime time

Here would be my top 8 for a family with young kids:
Tusker House (B)
Garden Grill (L or D)
Akershus (L or D)
Boma (D)
'Ohana (D)
Biergarten (L or D)
Crystal Palace (any meal)
Whispering Canyon (D)

This gives you a good assortment of character meals and then some non-characters meals with good food and a kid-friendly atomsphere.

We would happily choose any of (in no particular order):

O'hana
Le Cellier
Sc-Fi Dine In Theater
Marrakesh (Morroco)
Akershus (Norway)
Garden Grille
Whispering Canyon
Rainforest Cafe
Liberty Tree Tavern
Boma
Yak & Yeti

If I could choose 8 TS restaurants, they would be...

1. Le Cellier (Epcot)
2. Rose & Crown (you must have the sticky toffee pudding!) (Epcot)
3. Crystal Palace (MK)
4. Sci-Fi Drive In (MGM)
5. Coral Reef (Epcot)
6. Chefs de France (Epcot)
7. Marrakesh (Epcot)
8. Wolfgang Puck - (Downtown Disney)

Have fun!

I would probably pick:

Crystal Palace (all three meals are good)
Chef Mickey's
Boma (dinner)
1900 Park Fare (breakfast or dinner)
Coral Reef
Sci Fi Dine In
O'Hana (dinner, they have fun games for kids and Lapu Lapu's for adults)
Liberty Tree Tavern

I think all of those are very kid friendly but also have good food and nice/fun atmosphere's for the adults.

I would also book soon, especially if you are going during Free Dining. Have a fun and tasty trip!

1. Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
2. Ohana's (dinner)
3. 50's Primetime
4. Sci-Fi Dine-In
5. Crystal Palace (breakfast- we always get an early ADR so we can go in before the park opens. There's something very magical about walking up main street when the park is deserted!!)
6. ESPN Club
7. Le Cellier
8. Whispering Canyon Cafe

1. Crystal Palace (Have only done breakfast)
2. Chef Mickey(Have only done dinner)
3. Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast (All Princesses should do at least once)
4. Le Cellier (Very yummy food)
5. Tony's Town Square (Many complained but we really liked it.)
6. O'Hana (Have only done breakfast)
7. Boma (Have only done breakfast)
8. 1900 Park Fare (Breakfast)

I have traveled with young kids and one suggestion I will give you is decide what meal the kids REALLY eat a lot at at home. My kids LOVED breakfast. So I planned mostly Character breakfasts. They ate great. The rest of the day they basically just snacked, which is what they do at home. If your kids do not eat a big dinner at home do not expect that this will change on vacation.

With a young family I would think about...

Character Overload? No way - never too many characters and pictures with your Dkids! Plus buffets are
Chef Mickey
Crystal Palace
1900 Park Fare
Princess Storybook
Liberty Tree Tavern
A few for mom and dad:
LeCellier
Coral Reef
A few for the family:
Sci-Fi
Trail's End Buffet (and watching a movie afterwards)

Have fun choosing! There's so many Drestaurants to have fun at!

Here are my recommendations for a family with kids

1. Cape May Breakfast (quiet, so excellent character interaction)

2. Boma

3. Sci Fi

4. 50s Prime Time

5. Coral Reef

6. Crystal Palace

7. Garden Grill

8. Biergarten

We tried a few new places last week:
Teppan Edo - loved it! Very entertaining.
Tokyo Dining - OK, lots of sushi options and I've now decided I'm not a sushi person
Mama Melrose - Surprisingly good
Chefs de France - Great!
Crystal Palace - probably the best breakfast buffet I've ever had. Yum puffed french toast.

I've also liked 50's PTC in the past but not a fan of Sci-Fi or Captain Jack's anymore.

These are the ones we've regularly gone to with little pirate: pirate: the age of your kids:

1. Chef Mickey's (prefer breakfast, but dinner as well)
2. Crystal Palace (again, prefer breakfast and getting in before the park opens)
3. Cape May (breakfast, if you are staying in the Epcot resorts area)
4. Hollywood and Vine (breakfast --- they get to dance with Playhouse Disney characters)
5. Tusker House (breakfast -- we've gone when it was at Restaurantasaurus, and assume it will be even better in safari!)

Now that we've added a princess: we will add in the following on this trip (even though she's only 1 ----- my pirate: are not old enough yet to think they can get away with rolling their eyes at me!)::rotfl2:

1. Akershus breakfast
2. 1900 Park Faire dinner
3. CRT breakfast (2 credits however)

We've also done the following:
1. 50's Primetime
2. WCC

And on this next trip will do:
1. Le Cellier (finally got my first ADR here!)
2. Coral Reef (again....never was able to before)
3. Biergarten (my boys will not eat, but they will dance)
4. Plaza

Of all of the restaurants we've been to, the boys really have the best time at Chef Mickey's. One year we couldn't get an ADR, and that's all I heard about all week!!!

Here is what I am thinking so far..... maybe you guys can help me narrow it down. Also another factor is that I will not be booking our trip until the end of the week and that same day I will call and do my adrs and some of these places we may not get.(the ones with the *) Here goes....

Chef Mickeys for breakfast or dinner (have not decided yet)*
LTT for dinner
Le Cellier for dinner hopefully but will take lunch*
Kona cafe want dinner but thinking about breakfast
WCC for dinner *
Coral Reef for dinner*

I need 2 more and backups for my * choices.
Some places that I am thinking about but not 100% sure what to choose yet....

Ohanas BK
Rose and Crown DN
San Angel Inn DN
Yak and Yeti DN
Crystal Palace (we have done this already and if was iffy to me)
Alfrados...is this now Tutto???? DN

Ankershus BK or DN

Thanks for all the response so far.
