Disney1derland--probably not any time soon. With my new job, we don't get any paid vac time for a whole year. I'd really love to go up there though. It's SO beautiful in the springtime.

10f6--where is Macomb, Michigan? What part of the mitten is it in? DH's grandparents and a goodly portion of his aunts/uncles and their families live in/around Bay City. The last time we went up there, one of his uncles was wearing a shirt that said "It's a Yooper Thing!". DSIL was like "What'a a Yooper?". I explained what a 'yooper' is to her and Uncle was like "How'd you know that?" I told him there was somebody on the DIS that went by the name of 'yoopermom' and I had to ask her what it meant the first time I saw the word too.

We are north of Detroit. Bay City is about 1 1/2 north of here. (I'm guessing) Flint is around the hour mark. I love the yooper shirt. The UP is so beautiful! But if you talk to them up north, we are trolls because we live "under" the bridge. I love it.

Once when we went up to visit, one of DH's aunts (who is a local artist) drove us around in a nearby city showing us all these giant troll statues that had been decorated by schools, artists, etc.

Man..all this talk about MI makes me hungry for some of that famous Zehnder's chicken! And the Fudge Kitchen (I think it's called) Chocolate Fudge! *drools*
