Help Me Name My Hawk

Hey everyone! Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I'll go through a few now, then list the top contenders:

How about the name of that new hero movie coming out this month that I probably can't type on the DIS? Kick-(butt)

A good name to be sure, but I don't think Ms. Ivette would appreciate me shouting this in front of her grandchildren. Yes, I do shout at HAWK! I was encouraging him to tear Snakebert to shreds. Even in near death Snakebert is successful in making me seem like a loon. Sigh.

Prince Valiant of course.

Because I'm unoriginal, how about Horus, aka Egyptian god of war and hunting?

That might be a bit hard to say, but thanks for posting.

We had a pigeon that hung around our neighborhood for a while. His name was Sir Whitey Pinkenfoot. Your Hawk is probably not white, nor has pink feet, but I thought perhaps Sir Whitey could inspire you.

He is a red tail if that helps.

You could name him Alonzo - after Alonzo Hawk
Alonzo Hawk is a recurring villain in three Walt Disney movies: The Absent-Minded Professor (1961), Son of Flubber (1963), and Herbie Rides Again (1974).

Or even tho its an owl - not a hawk -

I think I will exclude villain names for now, even if I do love Maleficent. HAWK! is a hero after all.

Hank- Hank Hawk. Say it fast and it sounds cool.

Now for names, I like Hank from the PP. I also love the name Fred for spiders. That cracked me up. Do by chance happen to have a name for stink bugs? I hate those things.

I don't have a name for them. They are not a problem here in Gainesville like some other pests. Give it time though, something will click in my wild brain.

I figure the hawk won't care if you give it a name or not....after all, it isn't about to come when you call it now, is it?

At the exact moment that I wished a bird would come and eat Snakebert, HAWK! came swooping in to take him away. You tell me, did he come when I called?

That one was mentioned earlier and I sorta passed it. The reason being that any time that I say Tony, I use a fake Bronx accent. I am beyond help.

Oh this is nothing compared to my severe aversion to feet. Animal naming is just one of the special ways that I connect with nature.

Hawk = Hagrid
Snake = Snape

HAWK! is no lumbering giant, he is a sleek killing machine! In fact he is a little like a terminator, but that is more of a description than a name.

It came down to Horus and Stephen Hawking. I like symbolism and Horus is a good, strong name, but I love wordplay, so in the end,

Stephen Hawking wins out.
