Me & my 14 year old daughter are headed to Disney in 25 days. She will be in a cheerleading competition there so we only have about 3 days to do Disney - What are some things that we just cant miss and what are the things that can be skipped. Thanks for the advise!

Welcome to the DIS! Don't miss Illuminations at Epcot.

Can I just say, make sure you spend time enjoying one another rather than trying to do everything. Other than that, I don't have advice. Disney is so individual. Everyone likes different and special things!

Welcome to the Dis!

Either buy or go to your library and get the Unofficial Guide to WDW. They describe all the rides and attractions so you can decide what things you each think you'd like to do.

Don't miss seeing the big sign as you enter the World - I cry each and every time. Sniff.

If nothing else, ride the monorail around the resorts. It's such a rush the first time you enter the Contmporary and hear the announcement "please stand clear of the doors.............." Then it goes into the spanish version and my family and I try to echo what they're saying. I take it you're there for all stars competitions? Been there, done that. If possible try to see Spectromagic if the Magic Kingdom (MK) is having it. It's the night time electrical parade, realy something to see. Another is Fantasmic, the water show/fireworks extravaganza at MGM. It's a definite must see. Enjoy your trip, hope your daughter's team takes first place. I don't envy you sitting all day for awards :)

Another thing not to miss is Fantasmic at MGM. If you have only 3 days, then I would suggest doing AK and MGM in the same day. At the Ak don't miss It's Tough To Be A Bug, the Safari, and Rapids..oh Don't miss Lion King. Then goto MGM get a fantasmic dinner package before you go that way you won't have to wait in line and you are gauranteed a spot to see it.

the 2nd day has to be Epcot. Take time for the sight seeing at the countries. It really is great.

Save the 3rd day for MK. But start your day with breakfast at Chef Mickey's. You can walk from the Contemp right over to MK.

We started a new tradition for the past 2 times. It is always Chef Mickey's then MK. For some strange reason it has for the past 2 times ended up being on a Tuesday. Hmmmm.
