Help me make the logical decision? Update #23

so whatcha think you're gonna do?
Don't know. I'm definitely going to give it a lot more thought, it's a big decision. I will also being having a conversation about it with my mom, I think she deserves a say in the matter.

Also if I start now, then in two years I could get a clerical job at my mom's office (which is where I ultimately want to end up). Then continue night classes to get my entire 4 year degree. See where it goes from there.

BUT, If we chose the annual passes I could get to see mickey more. :cloud9:

My smart, logical side of the brain is saying college. My emotional part of the brain is screaming Disney.

I think I'll go with college, just to be responsible. But I just want to get some feedback of what other teens would do if they were in my situation. It could be an interesting discussion.

You don't need annual passes to see me, just take a trip up to Jersey:upsidedow

But seriously, if I were you, I'd take a break.
Before I start college, I want to travel for a year or join the Peace Corps. That might not be a viable option for you right now, but you might wanna take a break. I mean, after college you jump right into a career, and the next time you have a full year to yourself to explore your interests might not even come until after you retire.

Plus my friend's dad started college at 16, and said it was hard to make friends at first. Another year of maturity might make that easier.

Regardless, do what feels right to you. Good luck deciding!!

College. Disney is always gonna be there. So is college for that matter, but once you're out of school for a while, it gets harder to get back into it.

And maybe you could plan a trip to WDW during a long break. That's what my parents are doing for me.

So I think I've actually decided to do some starter classes this summer and then do a few online classes in the fall. Then go full time in the spring.

Starter classes in the summer because I feel like I need to hone my algebra skills a little. I'm awesome at algebra, but I've actually forgotten a lot of it. I just need one class and then I'll remember everything.

Online classes in the fall because of the 2 week vacation. Can't take two weeks off college, especially at the beginning of the semester! So if I take online classes I'll be able to study during the trip as well. And catch up after I get home, no problem.

The full time in the spring.

Well, those are the plans right now. :) :) :)

If it came down to it, what would you choose?

Starting college at the time I promised my mom I would or annual passes to WDW?

I know it sounds like an easy choice, but god I love WDW so much!

so i have a couple questions cause im fuzzy on a few things if you don't want to answer my questions then don't but im still gonna ask them

1. are you homeschooled?

2. are you only 16?

if im right on both counts then here is my opinion and it might be pretty good cause i am homeschooled i am gonna be finished with high school at 16 and am planning on taking two years off and starting when im the same age as everyone else so ther's my opinion:)

Sorry, I was vague because most people here already know my story.

Yes, I was homeschooled and graduated early. I am 16.

:)

Does that mean you're going for the APs?

I know I'm kind of late with my response,
but honestly, I know TONS of people, who graduated HS at 17 or 18 (or 19 if they took an extra yr) who took a year off before starting college and they said it was the best decision they made.
Because a) they had some time to relax after HS was over and b)they could get full time jobs to save up $$$ for college (therefore, not having to get a loan or anything like that)

Anyways, like a few others said, I think you are such an intelligent, hardworking girl that you SERIOUSLY deserve a huuuuge reward for that (in the form of APs would be amazzing)

Just a quick question...since you're doing online courses, what's the tuition like?

Cheaper! I don't have the exact costs right now, but I know that online classes are a little cheaper.

No, we actually decided not to do the APs this year. Thanks anyways for saying that about me. :) I'm not that bummed, I know I'll buy them one of these days.
