Help me make my decision w/ these 2 quotes???

I just got a quote for 8 nights, 9 days with 7 day hoppers for 2 adults and 1 child - free dining for:

Pop Century - $1,371.11

CSR - $1,869.91

These are the 2 resorts I have narrowed down to. I was REALLY leaning towards POP since dd is only 3 and I think would appreciate the colors etc.. but now since we are staying longer then I thought I am thinking maybe the $489 difference might be worth it for the extra space, fridge, the whole resort atmosphere. We have only stayed at OKW (dvc rental), Poly and CR but I am not a deluxe snob. I more like getting my money's worth and thought for free dining, value is the ONLY way to go since we get more money in free food then the darn room. Now I am nervous I will regret it or then book moderate and think I overpaid $500. Make up my mind so I can leave the DIS boards sometime today and book it!!

IMO it's worth the extra money for the extras you will get. Good luck deciding.

Definitely CSR. I would stay away from the Value resorts unless price is the ultimate factor. The pools are always a zoo, the bus lines are a mile long, and the food courts are usually crowded. If you can afford it, I think the extra $489 would be worth it.

My opinion...The frugle person that I am...I would stay at POP. We are staying at POR only because we have 5 people. Otherwise we would stay at ASMo. I love to save money.

Are the pools that crowded at the POP - there are 3 pools, a kiddie pool and a fountain splash area. That was actually one of the reasons I thought dd would love it. Lots of options

When are you going? That might make a difference. We stayed at All-Stars once before and didn't experience any crowds since it was off-season. Bus lines were not bad, and, although we didn't use the pools, I don't remember them being crowded when we walked by.

We are staying Oct 1st to Oct 9th of this year. It is considered off season but w/ the free dining, wine festival and MNSSHP - I think the crowds will be high.

Another thing I just realized, CSR has high speed internet. I think we are really leaning towards that since DH owns a company and still needs to keep in touch here and there during dd's naps. It just seems the CSR is geared towards adults. I don't mind the convention people, but POP's pools and goofy's fountain etc... seem fun.

Do you think a 3yr old will like CSR - will there be enough kids to play with??

Peppermarket is the best food court.
Would have booked it for marathon but is was already reserved for TNT.

Pool is very nice. Lots of kids to play with.

Over Memorial weekend I thought the pools at CSR were just as crowded as the pools at Pop.

I just came back in April, have a vacation planned for July and am considering going back to WDW in the beginning of September. I am trying to decide between a value and a moderate myself. However, DDs are 6 and 4, hence I will likely go with a moderare because of the pools. The reasons for me are that
a. I will go 7 nights (or even 6), the price difference is less than $489
b. We don't go to the parks every day, I think we may have at least 2 non-park days.
c. Both of my girls like the slides in the pool and like to play in the pool. At home, we went to the pool at YMCA a lot, hence, I like to have something different for them if we go to WDW.
d. DD4 does not like majoriyt of the rides and does not like to stay in the park for too long. (however, I do think it is easier to manage for a 3 years old)

If you buy 7 day hopper for a 8 night/ 9day trip, you do not have that many non-park days right? If you buy hopper, will you be planning to spend most of your days in the park? How many days or how much time will you be spending in the resort? How often do you go to WDW? There were times I do not care spending $500, but there were times I do, you are the best judge for you financial situation. But if you plan to spend most of your time in the park and are considering whether it is worth spending the $500, my suggestion is to go Pop. However, if you can afford the $500 without creating finanical difficulties, the first time to a moderate and won't be going back for awhile, my suggestion is to go to CSR.

Thanks for all your advice. We are staying 9 days and yes the 7 day hopper is most days but really once you get a hopper, if it is not "no expiration" then it is only $3 more to go from 4 to 5 days and so on so really it is costing us another $9 to add 7 days instead of 4. This is why we are now staying longer because it was cost effective. We have our own hoppers but it is truly inexpensive to get a 7 day no expiration ticket, we couldn't pass it up!! So anyway, we will be going to the parks most days but I hope since days 4-7 are so inexpensive we won't feel obligated to stay all day - maybe even only go for extra magic hours at night. I mean normally we are all day and night (want to get our moneys' worth!!) but I think this time, we are looking to relax at the hotel too. DH just told me he wants CSR for the Internet Access so it looks like thats where we will be.

I would think with the free dining Pop would be more crowded.
If you can afford it go for CPR.
The pool is really cool.
My DS says it reminds him of the Azec Indian ruins in Mexico.
The room are a lot nicer to.
