Nothing is ever straight forward when I book a holiday!!! Please help me make a choice - While you are helping me decide, please bear in mind I am taking 2 children (DS4 and DS8mths - at time of travel) for the first time and have no idea what its like to take kids to Florida!!

Currently I have booked -

3 nights at Poly (Just for Magic Kingdom on Monorail - will abandon car!)
3 nights on Disney Wonder
4 nights in Clearwater staying with Stepmum and brother
13 nights in Villa at Lindfield Reserve (alternate days at Parks/pool)

Have since been spending too much time on the Dis ;) and now definitely want to spend some time at Hard Rock Hotel (to get FOTL access to the rides and because just really want to stay at HRH!) - So, I made the decision to abandon CLearwater (My step mum doesn't know we are going and my DH really would sooner we didn't go there!!:rolleyes1 ) and add 2 nights to our LIndfield villa and 2 nights beforehand at HRH.

UNFORTUNATELY - this plan backfired as Virgin are currently unable to add 2 nights to my villa :confused3 - so this is where I need your help.

Which of the following would you do:

1/
Abandon Clearwater totally & book
2 nights at HRH
2 nights at AKL (Savannah Room)

2/
Still spend 2 nights in Clearwater (Stepmum & brother)
then 2 nights at HRH

3/
Wait a 'few months' as Virgin say they 'might' be able to add a couple of villa nights then????!!!!

I thought about spending 4 nights at HRH, but wondered about it being too noisy for DS8mths and we don't want to spend more than 2 days at UO anyway, but I'm just worried about too much swapping and changing with 2 children???

Your thoughts are greatly welcome!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I would go with option 1, 2 nights seeing AKL and 2 nights HRH, unless you really want to see stepmum and bro, then I would do the 2 nights Clearwater and 2 night HRH.

4 nights does seem quite a while for your hubbie if he isn't keen on going and it may be a lot of upheaval for them having kiddies to stay if they are not used to them or they may love it. As you have not mentioned a possible visit it makes it easy to swap and change.

I think the oldest kiddie would love to see animals out of her bedroom window when she woke up at AKL. HRH looks great (we are staying there next year) and if it is something you fancy doing I would go for it.

Personally I would get it all sorted out now then you know what is happening. I never like to wait about once I have decided, I prefer to get it booked up then I can just plan.

Hi:)

I'd stay 4 nights at HRH. We were there for 4 nights last November and loved it. The hotel is fab. The pool is great for the children and you. You are even allowed to pool hop between the other universal hotels (they told us we could at check;) ) We didn't find it any more noisy than any other resort hotel. You've got so many other changes 4 days will go realy quickly.

Have a great time whatever you decide.:goodvibes

Thanks Bev, that is how I am swaying (typically the most expensive choice for me!!;) ) - my main concern is all the moving around - do you think if I pack sensibly and maybe keep some luggage unopened until we are settled in the villa, that it will be ok?

Me and DH were always swapping and changing hotels - I'm just worried I'm expecting to do too much with the kids???

I think I will have to tell my stepmum that we will be in Orlando (I'll feel too guilt otherwise!!) and that she is more than welcome to visit us, but I just think driving to Clearwater as well as to Port Canaveral will be too much!

Thanks again!

I would go for option 3, as HRH is likey to still have rooms that far ahead, so is AKL, and you may get your first choice of extra villa days. I would not do the clearwater, as that is a lot of moving around with little ones and short moves will be bad enough esp if hubbie does not want o.

Sounds like you wil have a great time!

Hi Charley - sorry I think I was replying to Bev when your post came through!!

I think that would be DH's choice as well - do you think it is OK for the 8mth old?? :confused3

I was just concerned if there is alot of heavy rock music - plus is it going to be full of young trendy people in big groups!! :cool2:

I really want to stay there but I don't want to feel as though everyone else is on spring break and we don't fit in!! ;) (I can cope for 2 days but 4 days will probably mean we will spend more time at the pool etc and don't want to feel awkward!!) :rolleyes1

Thanks again!!

Thanks Terri!!!! - thats now 3 options chosen for me - lol!!!:rotfl2:

You can see why I keep changing my mind !!! - AT least we all (including me now -at least I think I do !!!!:lmao: ) agree that clearwater is just too much!!

Thank you all:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hi Amy

I didn't find it noisy at all. There were plenty of children when we were there. Didn't get thet spring break atmosphere at all. We stayed club level and found lots of children in the lounge (in PJ's at breakfast!). I'd definately go back. The pool is great. They hire out cabanas, some are themed, they would be great for a family especially with the little one. Didn't notice many groups, mostly families and couples.

:goodvibes

thanks Charley - that might have made up my mind - at least it won't involve anymore moving the kids from place to place - thanks alot:thumbsup2
