Help me love my Baggallini!

I got my Baggallini messenger bag a few months ago and have used it a few times. I like it but I'm not in love yet. I can't seem to get the strap right. It goes right between my *ahem* girls and not always super comfy. Does anyone else have this problem? lol I'm 5'7" and usually wear a size large if that makes any difference. Also, what and where do you put everything. The front part is so nice and organized but what all do you put in there. I'm not super great at organization but really want to be. So, how do you pack your Baggallini!

It has taken me some getting used to as well. I had to adjust the straps as small as they would go because I felt like the bag was too loose and sliding around everywhere. It also starts to bother my neck and shoulders a bit after wearing it for awhile.

In the front pockets I carry a couple of bandaids, anti-bacterial soap, lotion, nail file, lipstick....I think that's about it. I usually carry a water bottle, wallet and some snacks in the bigger zippered sections.

I wish I could help, but I hated the messenger bag and ended up selling mine on ebay after one use. It just didnt sit right and was uncomfortable. I prefer a true backpack.

I don't have the messenger either--but I love MY Baggalini. It's the one with three zippers--smaller than the messenger and perfect for my Disney needs!

You know, I've been using my Bagg for a few years of DLR trips and I still don't think I'm quite used to it yet! You'd think I'd be, but it never feels quite right. It slides around to my back and tilts to the side. (I don't like to have stuff directly on my back - I prefer to either have the stuff in front or on the side, where I can see it and reach the zippers easily.) Also, I absolutely detest having to unravel it from my hair and clothes, then unzip all the compartments, when we reach the Security tables.

But one thing I love about the Bagg is that I can put so much stuff in it. I use all the compartments. It's pretty durable too. And given all the things I put inside of it, it's not as heavy as I would expect it to be.

You may find that the Bagg never quite feels 100% comfortable on you at DLR, but because of its functionality and how useful it is, you feel you have to take it with you anyway. Or you may find that you can't stand it and have to get rid of it!

I disliked mine when I got it to use at the parks as well. It was because of the way it felt across the front. I am plus sized and it just wasn't comfortable which is sad because it was a lovely organizational bag. I gave it to me dd and she loves it. She's smaller up top and I think that makes a big difference.

It can be worn across the shoulders, over the shoulder or around your waist. When I go on rides, I put it around my waist. I keep my phone and camera in the outside pockets.

I like it for its small size yet it can hold everything I need and it is easy to reach in and get my AP or FPs from the credit card slots. I was lucky enough to find mine at Tuesday Morning for about $20. I also picked up a Baggalini cosmetics organizer for trips at at a great price.

I don't actually have a Baggalini currently, but the problems you've mentioned are pretty common with all cross-body type bags, I think, especially on women who aren't stick-straight. I adjust mine throughout the day, switching shoulders, adjusting strap length, etc. I have the same issue with how my bag sits, and I always pop it over to one shoulder or remove it for photos, lest my chest become the main attraction. However, I still prefer this type of bag to a backpack, hip pack, or traditional purse! And I currently have a Mickey one which just makes me happy!

I have a cross body bag that I use everday for my purse and I LOVE it! I've never had a bigger cross body one, though. Thought about getting one for our trip.

I find that when I carry it cross body, with the purse on my lower back, it's the most comfortable.

I was about to order my Baggalini for our upcoming disney trip, until I came across this post. I'm so glad I did. I'm of average size and I wondered how it would feel across the "girls". Thanks for posting your true feelings about this product. It most likely saved me the headache of it...now to just find something else. I didn't want to pack a backpack through the park. I was hoping for something smaller that I wouldnt have to leave when we got on rides. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Like marciemouse said, I think that problem is common with most cross-body type bags, at least for women. I got a baggallini for my first trip with my boyfriend back in '09 and I HATED it! For me, the problem wasn't that it rested uncomfortably on my chest, but that the strap kept readjusting itself and slipping so that the baggallini hung super low. No matter how many times I adjusted it, it always slipped down. By the end of our trip, I seriously wanted to throw it in the trash. It's currently hanging on the back of a chair collecting dust. I may sell it one day.

It was very roomy, but unfortunately, I can't really remember what I put in it. I know I had my camera and sweatshirt in the main compartment and fast passes in the cell phone pouch, but I can't remember anything else. Sorry. It's too bad I couldn't make the strap work because I did like the compartments.

That's the problem i have too! I tighten the strap and it just won't stay put! My solution? I make DH carry it.

I had the same solution! I had my boyfriend carry it, but he would only do it for half a day because he said it looked too girly and he thought he was getting too many stares. I told him he was just imagining it because I got the black one, which is less gender specific, but he insisted I was wrong.

When we go next year, he's bringing a regular backpack and I'll be carrying a cooler backpack for drinks. Problem solved!

that is exactly the style of Guess purse I just bought at the Duty Free on the way home. I love it!! it's the perfect size and very comfortable. being a Guess purse though, it is black leather with lot's of shiny chrome bits!! lol.....

Cute! That's the only thing with my little purse- I'd love to change the color. Since I got it so cheap, the only color they had is brown. I put my LGMH on the front zipper pull though.

We also bring a backpack in the parks and DH and two DSs17 all take turns carrying it. When the boys were little, I always carried a big tote bag everywhere to fit everyone's stuff in it. Of course, that was too girly so I had to carry it. I finally came to my senses and declared my independence from large bags. That's when we got the back pack. It's the four water bottles that make it so heavy. I'm in charge of photos, APs, and FPs. Much lighter!

I bought a cross body bagallini a few years ago, and only used it for one trip. The straps kept making themselves longer, so I had to hunt down some safety pins to try to keep it secure. It also had a magnet closure at the front, so my Disneyland Hotel keys demagnetized, which was a huge deal to discover after walking 500 miles to our room, and having to go back to the front desk after a long day.

I went to the Coach outlet last year and got a cute swing pack (it is just canvas, not leather) that works much better for me and feels more comfortable. In between, I used a swing pack that I found on clearance at TJ Maxx that worked much better for me than the bagallini.

So while being a good all around travel bag, the bagallini isn't for everyone. You have to try it on and see how it feels on you. I actally really liked the simple black bag I got a TJ Maxx, but the zipper broke--so that is why I moved on to the Coach bag.

I personally don't have much choice but to use a cross body bag, as it's the only style of purse that my very bad back will tolerate, as it evenly distributes the weight. I've had my Baggallinni now for over 2 years. I have found that I wear it at the lowest strap setting to keep it out of my way. It can be a royal pain when carrying it and my camera bag. It's getting to a point now where I'm finding it too big, so am planning on buying a Heys cross body purse I found online that's smaller than the Baggalinni I've got, and I think will work better on the trip to DL next month. The camera bag I've got can double for a purse, so I might do this for in the parks next month as well.

I have had the same problems with my bag. My teen wears it comfortably. I have pinned the strap so it stays short and that works fairly well. I like the pouch in front for my phone. I do like that the bag is big enough to put my SLR camera into, as I like to have just one bag.
