Help me lose 10 pounds by my January trip!

Hi Folks!

Trying to lose a bit more baby weight and make it through the holidays lighter than I am now. Can I possible do this? I don't know but I am going to try and figure if I have others to report to (and hopefully encouraging me through it) I just may make it! So if you are trying to lose some weight, get through the holidays or just have some advice to share please share with me!

I am going to be blogging about my progress on my blog (link below) and of course will be updating this thread!

Weigh in day is Friday October 7 - goal is to lose 10 pounds by January 13 (of course it is a Friday).:lmao:

You can definitely do that! A safe weight loss plan will have you lose about 1-2 pounds per week, although some have more weight loss in the beginning which is mostly water weight. The trick is to find a safe plan that you can actually follow. For me, weight watchers worked wonders! Lost 35 pounds in 6 months and have kept it off for another six after that. I go out a lot, and found it worked best for me to stay social, but others didn't like it because you have to do a lot of math. I have also seen people have amazing results on south beach, but when I tried it, I found it too hard to go out anywhere. Others loved it because there is no math and you can eat as much as you need to. I have also seen results on nutrisystem and Jenny Craig, but again, not for me. Others love it because it takes the guess work out.

So basically after rambling, find a program that is healthy and works for your lifestyle and stick to it. As long as you find the one that fits, it will seem easy to stick to, and you can easily be down 10-20 pounds before your trip.

Oh yeah, and theres always the working out option :)

Thanks! I actually started jogging about 3 months ago. I am limited in what I can do for exercise as I have a toddler that won't sit still while I exercise. My clothes fit better now but the scale has barely moved! So I definitely need to put more attention to diet. I have heard great things about weight watchers.

so simple and so true. my current plan is to count calories using caloriecount.com. that has worked for me before but it takes some dedication.
 
Stop at GNC, grab a clearance rack protein powder.
Take your normal meal sizes and remove 1\4th of what you'd normally eat. Replace that 1\4th of your meal with a glass of milk and protein powder.

Walk at least 15min a day and you'll drop weight in no time flat.
Do a few situps and pushups during commercials until you feel the burn, then relax until another commercial brake and alternate between situps\pushups.

It REALLY is that easy to loose weight.
