Help me like yogurt!

yoplait whips are really good. Also I love the pineapple up side down one! I have purchased the large size of yoplait but not the light, for it leaves a taste! Add thawed berries with the juice and eat that for breakfast.

I gag on yogurt but LOVE this for breakfast

Chobani Non-Fat Greek Vanilla yogurt.
Layer it with granola and fresh berries. mmmmmm

Greek yogurt is drier- and mixing it with the granola- the grossness of regular yogurt seems to go away.

I am of the opinion that you should not eat foods you don't like. Even if they are healthy/good for you type of foods. I also think you shouldn't eat around people you don't like.

If you need live cultures, as another poster said there are supplements and other ways to get it.

I  yoplait whips chocolate. Y-U-M. Try that one op.

I am going to look for the pineapple up side down one. That sounds wonderful.

Yogurt was a new food for me when I went to university. I really liked it from the start, but I was raised in a household where we often had sour cream, cottage cheese and buttermilk. We were used to a dairy taste that was also acidic/tart.

If you want to start using yogurt gradually, I suggest you start mixing a small amount of natural yogurt with sour cream, and using it as you would plain sour cream. In my opinion, you could also mix it with mayo in a salad/spread. One thing I would suggest is fresh strawberries, dipped in brown sugar and sour cream/yogurt.

If you are trying to boost the good bacteria in your system then you can buy Culturelle capsules over the counter at most pharmacies. They make a regular formula and children's version. DS's Pediatrician always recommends sprinkling the contents of the children's capsule in some applesauce for DS when he is having tummy issues like when he is on antibiotics.

Try the Culturelle. Same health benefits without the gag factor of yogurt. :thumbsup2

I'm not a fan of yogurt at all, but every once in a while I crave a sweet breakfast and Dannon Lite & Fit in either Vanilla or Key Lime works for me. I have to mix in Kashi Go Lean cereal cause I need to the crunch to get through it :)

When I was pregnant, I ate it mixed with a spoonful of fat free cool whip. Made the texture a whole lot more tolerable!

Personally I prefer the organic yogurt brands better than the yoplait type stuff. They all taste chalky to me or artificial because of the aspartame used to sweeten it. I really like Fage Greek yogurt, but it is a little more tart. I also like the Stoneyfield Farms French Vanilla low fat. Also, if you don't need the low fat, stoneyfield farms makes a cream on the top yogurt that tastes more like ice cream than yogurt.

I like the Yoplait Light better than the fruit on the bottom. That stuff tastes like chalk. Also, mixing with fruit and granola will help. I love that!

I totally second this. I really don't like yogurt but I can get down the Yoplait light especially the cherry and the boston cream are good and I always have to put some granola in it!

LOVE Yogurt!! Eat it everyday. But HATE that Greek stuff. :scared: It tastes like it's been eaten BEFORE! :scared1:

Look at the ingredients of Greek yogurt and then the other stuff. Greek is the healthiest and most natural.

I put honey, cinnamon, chopped almonds, chopped walnuts, raisins AND Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Chips.

Taste and Texture is GREAT!:thumbsup2

I don't really like yogurt AT ALL but recently bought Chobani and I can eat that. Vanilla is my favorite..it is really creamy but I can still only get down 1/2 a container.

I don't like plain yogurt at all--I don't care what you put in it, it feels like snot in my mouth. But I love love LOVE Activia. :upsidedow Go figure. You should try it. It's really good and has a lot of "body" in my mouth(hope you can figure out what i'm saying--I have some food texture issues, too.)

I don't like the ones with aspertame or plain ones, yuck. My current favorite is Simply Gogurt Strawberry flavored in the tube. It is awesome and has no artifical colors, flavors, or sweeteners. The honey vanilla greek one from Trader Joe's is really good with extra honey. I also like the Stonyfield brand. I use the vanilla greek yogurt in smoothies with honey & frozen fruit.

Also don't like that icky tang of most yogurts. Dannon "Light & Fit" is very good-no nasty spoiled flavor at all. The vanilla tastes more like Betty Crocker frosting!

:thumbsup2 yes, ITA.....probably explains why I like it ;)

I do as many others said, I mix mine with granola. So good that way, especially if you've got a nice fresh banana you can cut up with it. I prefer Yoplait brand over any other brand, no clue why really but it tastes better to me. I don't get light, or fruit at the bottom either, I just get regular old Yoplait yogurt, add some fruit (strawberries or banana are my fave) and granola and it's a good meal.

I don't know if they still make them, but Breyer's used to have Creme Savers yogurt that were SOOOO good! They are not fat free, and are sweetened with sugar, but if that is not an issue for you, try them (if they still make them).

The Yoplait Whips are good too...they are fluffy and taste more like mousse than yogurt.

And another idea is to freeze your yogurt for a while. My mom does this, and she says they are like frozen yogurt (ice cream)...
