Headed to WDW for 4 nights 3 days with my mom (and service dog Sienna). We'd like to do one or two nice dinner reservations but I have no idea where to start! We're adults and not really into character dining, but are into other fun things like shows or other fun stuff.

We're going to be staying at wilderness lodge, too, if that makes a difference.

Any suggestions? Haven't been to Disney for years and years and probably won't be back for years and years, lol. The opportunity is very rare for us so we'd like to try something special.

When you say "nice" - what do you mean? Disney World has several very nice Signature restaurants...these tend to be a little more upscale. Food and service tend to be outstanding, but they're also on the pricey side. For WL, I would recommend Artist Point. Other Signatures that I like include Narcoossee's (GF, my favorite restaurant in WDW), Jiko (AKL), Califrornia Grill (CR, but it's been getting mixed reviews of late), and Flying Fish (BW).

I would start by taking a look at the menus on places like Allears.net to get a sense of what is offered at different restaurants and then pick the ones that sound the best to you.

Since you are staying at Wilderness Lodge, you might try Artist Pointe. I think it is good. You can check out menus on www.allears.net to see if would like it, or if the prices look good to you. It is a signature restaurant, so more expensive and 2 credits on the dining plan (but I am guessing you aren't on that). I think it is easiest to eat where your resort is. If you want to try a show, Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is a boat ride away from Wilderness Lodge at Fort Wilderness. It is really corny, but fun -- they have picnic type food -- fried chicken and sides. So, certainly not the fanciest food, but it is cute and entertaining.

You could also look into California Grille (at the Contemporary), O'hana (at the Polynesian), or Narcoosee (at Grand Floridian). It is always fun to check out the other resorts when you go to dinner if you are not feeling rushed. I think all those are consistently good. We've eaten at each a few times.

There are lots of restaurants to choose from in the parks, so you have to plan according to which park you are going to be in. Epcot has a lot of great restaurants if you are looking to eat at a park. Hollywood Brown Derby is also good at Hollywood Studios, though the meal is really slow.

I agree with these recommendations, but OP, if you go looking for them, just note that they're actually Artist Point, California Grill, 'Ohana, and Narcoossee's. :) A lot of people spell it O'hana and the running Disboard joke is that there must be a new Irish pub at WDW! :rotfl:

Oops, sorry!

add Citricos to that list and the Wave of American flavors at the Contemporary was lovely surprise last trip.

Thanks everybody! I don't know what I mean by nice, lol. But these are good suggestions!
