Help me get excited about having a nephew

Oh Teva, that's hysterical!!! How long do you think I should wait before I try to start cross dressing him?

My SIL dressed my nephew in little uni-sex Gap clothes forever. He looked just like a girl. What boy in elementary school wears shoes that look like girl's keds instead of big old athletic shoes. He's now 24 and could not be more manly, but for years people thought he was a girl.

We're dealing with this old "wish it was a girl" with my cousin's daughter. She's an only child (was and is perfect). Her father is the one most disappointed that it's going to be a boy. She's an older mom so this may be the only one she has. Grandma to be (who loves girly stuff) has an embroidery machine and was just poised to put little hearts and flowers on everything.

For about 2 seconds after my ultrasound I was sad that I wasn't having a girl.

Ill admit - with #2, I still wanted a girl. So when the Ultrasound said "It's a BOY!" - I cried. Not boo-hoo, wailing crying. Just a tear. I was seriously bummed.

Then, once I exchanged all the pink and purple clothes I had bought, convinced I was having a girl.... I began getting happy, and like Tracey1974 said - cant imagine it any other way.

And to top it off - I got a Mama's Boy! I am so AWESOME in his eyes! Who couldnt love THAT!

After participating for the past few days in a couple of circumcision threads, and according to some people, being a barbarian, I would say it is the ability to mutilate them a couple of days after birth via circumcision.

Sorry, , I just couldn't resist.

Seriously though, the fun of little boys, at least with my little boy, is the rough and tumble, time to be a clown attitude. I love my DD with all my heart, but it's my son that was born to make me laugh.
