we are leaving in 3 weeks for disneyworld!!! but i need some COMFORTABLE walking shoes ASAP! I live in old navy flip flops but i know my knee's and hips will be killing me after day 1 if i don't get something with some more suport. I want a sandal and i have narrow feet.

If you already have knee issues, I would suggest you consider a good running shoe. I use Asics 2140 or 2150, but I have had heel issues in the past.

If you really want a sandal, I have found the Sketchers type of Fit Flops work well and don't cause me more pain. IF I was to try Disney in flip flops, that is one of the few I would try. I also have a pair of Nike sandals with an arch inside them I would consider.

Whatever you decide, please try to get them asap, so you can break them in. You do not want to try and break them in while you are there.

Enjoy your trip!:thumbsup2

i hate wearing sneakers any time, but especally when it's hot out.

Tevas and Keens are also very popular sandals for Disney trips. *I* wasn't a fan of Tevas. They didn't fit my feet well and Keens seemed really bulky to me. I was planning on getting a pair of Merrell chameleons. They're designed to be worn in wet and dry environments without socks. And they don't stay squishy after being on a water ride. And they're a lot of mesh to keep your foot cool. I LOVED them. But I didn't have $100 to spare before our trip. Ah well... maybe next year!

my personal favorite is croc cleos. I have worn them on numerous trips to WDW. I am also a big fan of keens, but not sure if those work for those with narrow feet. hope you find something...nothing worse than blisters at WDW

anyone wear clarks? i was thinking about getting a pair from there but i feel like that offically makes me a grown up!

I have an issue with my knee, but when the weather permits at Disney I wear my Sanuks yoga mat flip flops.... love them!! I have so many pairs in lots of colors. Super comfy! I used to work at a shoe store and got them there, but now order them from Amazon. Have fun!!! :)

foot doctor put me in new balance wides 4 years ago and I swear by them whatever you do please do not wear brand new shoes. can make a trip miserable:worship: been there and done that with trying to wear flip flops and crocks...:thumbsup2

I love llbean's Maine Isle flip flops. They are the most comfortable ones I've ever had and they last forever and come with many different cute patterns (lobsters, labs, sailboats, saltwater taffy).

I have a reoccurring sprained ankle and went for 6 days last year. I wore my Land's End Mary Jane shoes for the first day and paid for it. The rest of the trip I spent in my Mary Jane Crocs and never felt any pain or problems on my feet or back. They may now look good but they are super comfy on long trips.

love my cleo crocs. Take brown and black pair they go with everything and are lite weight and small to pack. Just wore out my pair from 2 years ago and have a new set coming for December trip. Whatever you get make sure they are comfortable that is the main thing no matter what brand!!:thumbsup2

I'm a flip flop girl too and I just bought a pair of Chaco flip flops and Orthaheel flip flops based off recommendations here on Dis. I've been wearing them around the house and so far, I like the Chacos better but the salesperson did say that for some people the Orthaheels take some getting used to. I also plan on bringing my Teva Mush flip flops which I wear all the time.

I love ECCO Yucatan sandals. The adjust in front and behind your ankle. Might help with narrow feet. I actually have wide so I go a size larger. My feet always swell with alot of walking. I wear these all the time for walking. I try and walk several miles a day every day. They are very very pricey though. About $130. I need a new pair but I may try these other sandals first. They do not adjust behind the ankle though. The reviews even mention Disney!

I would say Birkenstocks too. They are uncomfortable for the 1st week or 2 until you break them in and then they are the most comfortable shoes in the world

Crocs without a doubt. The Patricia style is so cushy/comfy. I walked all over New York with them for a full weekend and let me tell you we walked miles and my feet/legs never ever bothered me. Good Luck with whatever you decide and enjoy your visit with the mouse.

I bought a pair of Keen Newport H2s for our first trip 3 years ago and have been living in them ever since. I picked up a pair of regular Newports and love them just as much. I have a narrow foot as well and even though the Keens look bulky they are super comfy and give your toes plenty of room to spread out. Not a rub or a blister after days on end of walking and they keep your feet really cool. The H2s are designed for getting wet but the regular Newports work out fine if they get soaked. These are my go to summer walking shoes. And I do a LOT of walking.

Make sure that, regardless of what you decide on, you test drive them significantly before your trip. Good luck!

We buy a new pair of Reefs for each trip. Flip Flops wear out. A new pair really give you the cushioning you need for the pounding your feet take. I've worn sneakers, merrills and other sandals in the park. My feet prefer Reefs. For $20.00 it's worth a chance.

I love my cleo crocs as well but for some reason every time I wear them I get blisters on my pinky toes...they are sooo comfortable for walking though!!!
