Help me find a movie..Please.

At the alternate school where I work the person in charge reads to all students for 30min daily. After the book is read she will then show a movie, alot of the books she finds they have been made into movies. The current book she is reading now is The good dog by Avi. It is about the life of a dog told by the dogs.

What would be a good movie to go along with this book? since there has not been a movie made. We were thinking White fang, (she has already used Call of the wild).

So if you now this book, or a movie about dogs and thier story please post your ideas.

That is all my kids watched, dog movies.

The theme that dogs "have their own world"......

One that would sort of match would be Balto.

Or the original "Cats and Dogs".

"Good Dog" makes the dogs to be aliens but cute movie anyway.

One my family's favourites is My Dog Skip.

Here is the synopsis from imdb:

A shy boy is unable to make friends in Yazoo City, Mississippi in 1942, until his parents give him a terrier puppy for his ninth birthday. The dog, which he names Skip, becomes well known and loved throughout the community and enriches the life of the boy, Willie, as he grows into manhood. Based on the best-selling Mississippi memoir by the late Willie Morris.

I can't think of any live-action movies told from the dog's perspective. Although White Fang & it's predecessor, Call of the Wild are written this way, the films focused more on the human relationships.

Hachi is a dog movie told partly through the dog's point of view. I think it's a sad movie, a real tear jerker if you're a dog lover. How old are the students? I believe Hachi is rated G but I'm not sure I would show it to little kids at school.
