Help me find a cheaper rate!!!!

I went to reserve the Hard Rock for Oct 25-29. A regular room was over $300. The Kid's Suite (what I really need) was over $500. Any tricks to get this price down? Thanks. I am a Disney expert, but a Universal newbie.

Are you a AAA member? I reserved the RPH for one night at the beginning of October for $179 a night. The HRH wasn't much more. If you go to their website you can check the member rates before signing up to make sure it's worth your while.

Also check the APH rates. They may not be out yet for your dates, but it might pay for you to have one person have the preferred annual pass (180.00). Not only do you get some pretty good room discounts, you get between 10 - 15% off meals and 20% off souvenirs in the stores.
