Please help me fill a goodie bag..

I want to pack an arrival goodie bag for my ds (8) and dd (6) each to have in our room when we check in at the hotel, but don't know what to fill it with.

Can you give me some ideas????

I have an autograph book , mickey pen, and disposable camera...

Thanks

Ok, I haven't taken DD to Disney yet but I've seen some cute ideas on here...including new Disney PJs (bought at home!) and glow necklaces. Also include some favorite treats, Disney Dollars, their own refillable water bottle. You'll get plenty of good ideas from the experts on here!

Your little ones are a bit older than mine, but one of the best little gifts I have EVER given DS is a tiny flashlight - we had rules about when and how he could use it - but it was great when he was nervous on some of the dark rides - many of them are on keychains so we could hook it on a fanny pack. I told him that he could NOT shine it around in a ride and no pointing it in anyone's face

he could light it on his lap and his hands - just so he could see "Something" instead of pitch blackness - I occassionally pointed it at my face so he could see mommy

I also got him his own fanny pack and carried around a few small toys from home (reallllly small) his own chapstick (the sun can be brutal on little lips) - money - a few treats - so he felt in control

and of course the items that the other poster had mentioned.

I plan on getting little stuff to leave from Tinkerbell in our room.. our little one is 3 and crazy about her..

We are going to Walmart and getting princess crayons 94 cents and colored pencils that are princess for 1.94 also leaving a goodie snack basket with pixie dust sprinkled everywhere with disney snacks in it like disney princess and pooh fruit snacks.. hoping to find the pooh fruit drink box, and more...

I would love to hear other ideas!!!

disney themed fruit snacks
stickers,
glow bracelets..
small deck of Disney cards. (target sometimes)
I aslo go through the party aisle and sometimes the goodie bag gifts are Disney themed.

FYI I bought glow bracelets from walmart and 3 out f 4 did not work. The ones from the dollar store did though. a pack of 6 for $1.

I also saw stuff really cheap 1.00 at the dollar tree.. they had a lot of princess pooh etc.. disney theme.. even stickers too....

Have fun!

Anymore ideas?????????????

This may sound silly but how does this work? :confused3 Do you buy the stuff at home and then send it to the hotel before you get there? We are going to WL in October and I would love to do something like this for my boys (5 & 2).

Thanks!
Lisa

I'm going to call the resort to see how they prefer this done, but my plan was to box everything up and ship it to their attention and ask that they hold it until the day we arrive. I'd really like them in our room on arrival day, but I don't know if they do that.

Thanks for the great ideas!!!

we were just going to do it ourselves.. it would be nice if the hotel could do it.. but like my husband or myself will just be a little later getting to the room and the other will be putting something out in the room for when she first arrives!

I also was going thru all my stuff from trips past and I actually kept a mickey straw and the mickey ears like confetti stuff that CRT leaves on your birthday... so I am going to sprinkle those mickey ears around like her autograph book and maybe a little note from mickey or something then the rest of the week tinkerbell will leave little stuff here and there.. and actually one of those times tinkerbell is going to leave the tinkerbell doll.. my little girl has been wanting one of those 10.00 doll for a long time so I thought this would be perfect...

Anybody else have anymore ideas??

Have fun!

I love responding to this type of thread! For DS9 and DD5 I've given...

Disney Dollars in a Disney themed wallet
A handheld Disney Game--Magical Moments Games or Trivia OR a Gameboy Game that is Disney themed.
Mickey themed Pin Ball type game--Disneydeals.com
Disney themed Card Games--GO FISH, OLD MAID, etc.
Disney Toothbrushes
A 4x6 photo album
Mickey and Minnie Plushes
Disney themed Chapstick
Hand Held Fans--Disney Store
Disney Fruit Snacks--Toy Story, Princess, W. the Pooh, etc.
A Mr. Potato Head so that they can have him to decorate with all the Disney pieces from the Fill Your Own Mr. Potato Head Box at Once Upon a Toy at DTD.
GlowSticks
Disney Themed Lightchasers
a Mickey, Minnie or Princess Pillowcase--I used this as the "Treat Bag" last trip.
Beach Towels
Water Wallets
Matching Disney T-shirts
Sun Hats
Disney themed sunglasses
Lanyard and pins for trading
For DD5 I've found some Polly Pocket type Disney Princess sets at Toys R Us on Clearance

The bagpack full of goodies for our DD7 and her friend (a 7 year old boy) are arriving "mysteriously" on our front porch...in a gift bag...with a letter from Micky and MInnie (in the Mickey font, of course)....

I had another thread a week or so ago with what was in it, I will find it and edit in a minute...

I start shopping early and pick up cheap disney things here and there. A lot from the Dollar tree.

I've given ds and dnephews:

Autograph book
disney pen
disney coloring books and crayons
disney sticker books and disney stickers
mickey & friends fruit snacks
disney pez dispensers
glow sticks
light chasers
big mickey lollipops
disney shirts
disney note pads
disney pencils
mickey sunglasses

Whatever I find that's cheap and cute or that he needs, I get and put in the closet until we go, then I make a gift bag.

OMG I love this thread!! My dd6 would LOVE this......hey I have an idea, I just ordered from Disney Direct a pink princess duffle bag with her name embroidered on it and I had planned on letting her see it when it comes in but I think that I will hide and fill it with the great ideas I have read and let her find it on the porch the morning we leave for the airport!! She would be so surprised!!! And she can take it on the plane, I'll make sure to have disney colors, books etc.!!!!

But help me with this.......what can I leave for my dd13? Any ideas?? Of course she will know Mickey really didn't have it "delivered" to our door step but he has to leave her something special as well......Any ideas for a 13y/o?

For a 13-yo...let's see. The beach towel and sunglasses would work. How about a CD of any Disney-themed music that she likes? A Disney t-shirt or sleep shirt. Some 13 yo's would like a plush toy. Disney playing cards maybe or Disney stationary or postcards to send to her friends back home? Of course, Disney dollars are always cool! Autograph book and pen if she's into that...maybe a Disney waistpack/fanny pack? And of course, trading pins.

HTH!

We keep it simple since the arrival gift (Goodie Bag) is more of a surprise event that adds a little special touch to the WDW Adventure.

We want the focus to be the parks and adventure, so we only provide 2-3 items only. Things that have special meaning to our little girls...dress up item and favorite character item.

Overall, the arrival gifts are just a little special touch to start off the great kids adventure. We can always purchase additionaly items based upon the moments and kids excitement. princess: princess: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I just love everyones ideas! I also loved the idea that a fellow dis member had about taking suckers with a little thank you note attached and letting the kids give these when someone is extra nice.. like cm.. I think that idea is so cute!
