So currently we have reservations at CCV from 10/14-10/18 on our original contract that we bought directly using 2020 points. We are waiting on another contract to pass ROFR (Sent 5/8) and I had the thought to add on a night at the beginning of our trip since my son will be on Fall Break and I get a ton of PTO, using the 2020 points on the new contract. Now I'm thinking there is no way there will be availability by the time we get past ROFR, close, and get our points. So I should just book the extra night on our original contract to ensure we have the room right?

Sorry if this is wordy.

If you have the points to book the room and the room is available- I would book the room now.

If you have the points now, it's a no-brainer in my mind. Just book it.

I'd also book now.

Does the contract you hope to purchase have the same use year as your current contract? If so, and if you make sure that it will be titled the same (exactly) as you current contract, it will be added to your current membership. That means if you get the points in your account prior to your arrival date, you can modify the October reservation to use points from the "new" contract if that would be advantageous for you.

I've assumed that you made the October reservation after the 7 month window opened. If so, it won't matter if the "new "contract is for a different home resort. If you made it before the 7 month window opened, the "new" contract would have to be for CCV points unless there is still availability for the October dates when you modify.

I'm not sure if you can modify the existing reservation if the "new" contract ends up in a different membership, which will happen if the contract is for a different use year or if it doesn't go through titled exactly the same as your current contract.

Good luck with the ROFR. My GUESS is that Disney still isn't taking contracts via ROFR, so you should have good news soon. :)

If you don't have to borrow, sure.

I haven't done this on my reservation, because I don't want to borrow for my Christmas trip, because I still think we might cancel it. Right now they are allowing un-borrowing when you cancel, but that could change any minute, and then you would be stuck.

I know it's an echo but I would also just book it now if you have the points
