Myself, my service dog, my sister and my newphew are going to Disney in LESS than one week! He is a BIG guy (75lbs, all muscle) and eats a lot of food when working hard, as he will be that week.

I need to send a package of his dog food ahead to the hotel for him because it would be very hard to transport otherwise. Is this allowed? How do I do this? Can someone tell my how to address this package?

My service dog and I really want his food to get there!

Thank you!

I sent a snack package to POR back in 2003 and it was there when we checked in.

Here's the address for WL:

Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort
901 Timberline Drive
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-1000
Telephone: (407) 824-3200

I would add to the address:
HOLD FOR GUEST (Your name): CHECKING IN ON (date)
I would also write this on the package with a Sharpie.

You might want to take it to someplace like the UPS Store to have it securely packaged since I would be afraid the regular food package would open up and break.

Another option - depending on the size & kind of food, perhaps it would be cheaper to order this from say Petsmart and have it delivered to the resort. You could follow-up with the front desk to see if this would be okay.

I hope you have a magical trip! :wizard:

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately Holden (my service dog) eats an all natural food that we would have to ship ourselves in advance to the hotel so I can not order from petco or petsmart.

I would suggest calling the hotel and asking them how to handle it. Make sure you get the name of the CM you speak to.

WDWBetsy's suggestion seems as if it would work, but doublecheck it with hotel staff.

If your dog food can be purchased in the Orlando area, why not check into wegoshop for delivery. I don't know if this would work, but it may be cheaper than shipping it down...I know how much a 75lb dog can eat, and that is a lot of shipping cost!

I agree with the suggestion to call the resort. This would classify as a Special Needs situation. The resort can better tell you the best procedure for your situation than any of us can.

We're going the same dates.. :cool1: Can't wait to met Holden. I'll be the guy yelling Chloe slow down constantly. WL guest service should be the ones to help. See you soon.
