Help me eliminate TWO TS meals!

I have eight ADR's lined up for six TS credits on our dining plan. Originally I was planning on paying out of pocket for two of them (likely the breakfasts or one of the breakfasts and Prime Time), but now we are planning on spending a day with Harry Potter, so that day's meals will all be out of pocket, and I'm starting to think the extra two meals will just be too much food for us once you add in all of our counter service credits. I don't want to waste food or money, either.

If you had to cut out two of the following, which two would you get rid of? I CANNOT decide. It should be easy, because obviously the breakfasts and Prime Time won't make up the value of the plan, but DH LOVES breakfast more than any other meal of the day, and I've been wanting to try 50's again on every trip we've gone on, and I keep canceling for whatever reason. I have good memories of that place as a kid, and I detest the CS options in DHS. Right now I'm almost leaning canceling Le Cellier just because it is our only repeat on this list. I'm hesitant to do that though...because it's Le Cellier! HELP! If you had to cancel two, which two?

6:20 Cape May Dinner
8:15 Tusker House Breakfast
6:15 Whispering Canyon Cafe Dinner
12:30 50s Prime Time Cafe Lunch
8:05 Crystal Palace Breakfast
5:55 Boma Dinner
12:15 Le Cellier Lunch
7:10 Ohana Dinner

I would get rid of WCC. We always go to 50's and have a ball every time, so I'd keep that one.

Well, it definitely looks like I should get rid of Whispering Canyon! :lmao: To be honest, I mostly booked because I really want to visit the Wilderness Lodge. I've never seen it in person, and I think I might like to stay there some day. I suppose I could cancel WCC, and we could still go over there for a quick visit one afternoon. :confused3

So, WCC and what other one? Consensus? Right now, I'm thinking it will either be Le Cellier, Boma, or Ohana that goes bye bye. (Shockingly leaning Le Cellier just because we've been there, and haven't been to the other two.)

On the other hand, my budget conscious side is telling me to get rid of one of the breakfasts or Prime Time. Decisions, decisions.

I would get rid of Boma and WCC. If you really wanted to see WL, then I would get rid of Boma and LeCellier (both overhyped in my opinion). Or get rid of Boma and either pay OOP for Tusker breakfast or Prime Time, depending on the costs difference of what you would get.

Either way, I would get rid of Boma.

I think the breakfasts are kind of a waste with the dining plan so I would get rid of one of them....and either prime time or WCC

Personally, I'd get rid of '50's Prime Time Cafe and Boma, but just because I didn't care about either of one.

It would definitely be WCC off the list first; it's one of my 3 never again restaurants.

The second one I'd take off the list is either Le Cellier or 50s lunch. I think the food is fine at both but I just hate eating that heavy of a meal mid day and both of those places have heavy food.

Since you love breakfasts, I'd keep those and just pay for them. We enjoyed breakfast at the value resorts before. You can just pay for it instead of using the dining plan... For about $6 or so, you can get a stack of delicious pancakes and some sausage/bacon.

If you're going to Tusker House for the characters, you can see the same characters in the park. I'd go to Tusker House for lunch instead! I like Yak and Yeti better, but if you're looking to fill up, TH is a buffet.

I'd skip Whispering Canyon Cafe. You're staying at POP and WCC is not worth the special trip. I didn't like the food at all in Dec. 2010.

I wasn't too impressed with Le Cellier or Ohana either... but to each their own. I would be happy to skip either. Le Cellier was just ok... their appetizers don't appeal to me... the cheese soup everyone loves was yuk. The pretzel bread was good but I can get a soft pretzel in Germany (Epcot). Ohana's food was yuk compared to our 1st time there and we were made to wait over an hour to be seated. No thank you.

In Epcot, there are so many fun places to eat... why eat in a cellar (Le Cellier) when you could be entertained with Moroccan music and belly dancing (Marrakesh) or German music and great beer (Biergarten) or watch sharks, fish, and sea turtles by your table (Coral Reef) or spend your dinner getting silly with Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale (Garden Grill)?????

For the Magic Kingdom area, we love Crystal Palace for lunch and dinner too. Great food, plenty of variety, and don't have to waste time exiting the park to eat. Though... I'd take the boat ride to Grand Floridian to eat there.

Loved 50s Prime Time!!! Food was delicious... Milkshakes incredible! Just be sure to keep your elbows of the table and don't play with your walkie talkies.

If you had to cancel two, which two?

I would wait until you get there before cancelling any of them. Sometimes your day just doesn't go as planned, or someone doesn't feel well, or you decide to visit a different park.

Out of every trip, we manage to cancel/ miss at least two ADR's.

Don't get rid of Boma! Honestly it's one of my favorite meals on property. I agree to get rid of your breakfasts and either pay OOP or use your snack credits for a muffin/danish/bagel.

If I were traveling by myself or with someone else, this is for sure what I would do. Breakfast isn't my favorite meal, and I know it doesn't make up the value of the dining plan. However, I travel with my breakfast loving husband, and after all, it IS his vacation too! :lmao: (Even though I'm planning it, and he really won't know or care what we are doing each day until the night before :rotfl:.) DH underwent a HUGE weight loss extravaganza about three years ago, and lost 70 pounds. He did it by eating BIG breakfasts and barely anything for dinner. As a result, he LOVES breakfast, eats a ton of it...and isn't so much a big dinner eater. If I eliminated both breakfasts, I wouldn't be taking his needs into consideration. A snack credit danish just will not do it for my husband. He'd be more apt to use a snack credit or two for a quick dinner. We still get the dining plan because we *do* have 5 expensive dinners planned, and we like that it is all prepaid, even if we lose a little money. If we paid out of pocket, we would never sit down for all those meals...it would feel too expensive and it would put a damper on our trip. :confused3
