Help me dial in MaxPass plan

One other comment... When they added the RS to our tickets, they absolutely did not care whose tickets they were. In fact, most of the CMs said "just scan any two tickets" when I told them we needed a RS for two. One time I said "oh that's mine, not my wife's," and they said "it's fine". You simply come back with 2 FPs, and 2 people ride. That's all anybody cares about. No problem.

Nobody really cares about this, except for a few select message board posters. I am as big a "rule follower" as anybody, but any argument about the "non-transferability of FPs" is absurd.

We were told this also, on our trip a few weeks ago- they really didn't want to care.

WDW had a big problem of people using extra MagicBands that weren’t attached to tickets used for entry, or bands/ticket belonging to others in their party who didn’t enter the park that day, to get additional FP’s day-of after they entered the park. They made an update to the system/rules so you cannot get FP’s with a MagicBand or ticket that was not scanned for park entry. However, as long as a band/ticket was scanned for park entry that day, anyone can use the FP’s attached to it. It doesn’t matter if it’s grandma’s ticket but Billy uses her FP for Space Mountain because she doesn’t want to ride it, because as far as system capacity is concerned it’s still 1 park entry->1 FP->1 rider.

We swap MagicBands among our family at WDW, because my youngest doesn’t like roller coasters but is over 40” tall so not eligible to use rider swap on several rides that she won’t ride. We get 4 FPs, 1 parent + older child ride first, then 2nd parent rides & older child uses younger child’s FP to ride again with the other parent. This way all 3 of us who ride get to do so, and no one has to ride alone. We aren’t using more than our “share” of FPs; we have 4 tickets, get 4 FPs and 4 people ride. We plan to do the same thing at DLR, because my youngest is now 44” tall but still doesn’t like roller coasters.

We did a similar thing last November at MK, as my wife was 7 months pregapreand couldn't use her FPs on the rides that were most worth it. So my son and I used them on SDMF, BTMRR, and TL Speedway. We didn't get "more" FPs; we just divied them up according to who could (and/or wanted to) use them. Seems perfectly reasonable as long as you have valid park entry.
