Help me decide!

Absolutely LOVE St. John, but LOVE Serentity Bay at least as much. Hard decision. How many sea days on the Double scoop? I also love the Sea Days on the Eastern.

Hmmmm. I'm not much help am I?

I must admit, as excited about our June double dip, I had originally booked for an Eastern.

We have some great things to look forward to on the dd, like the dd.....and an Eagle Ray excursion outside of DCL. We have yet to plan what to do in CM.

I also loved the days at sea on the Eastern. They are so much more relaxing. I have to recommend Capt. Nautica in St. Thomas for an incredible snorkeling excursion.

I had decided on the Eastern. I have always wanted to go to the Virgin Islands. Then I read about the double Castaway Cay and I just do not know what to do! We went on a 4 night RCCL cruise a couple of years ago. We absolutely loved Cococay(their private island). I just do not know if it is worth changing my mind now, since I really was looking forward to the Eastern. HELP!!

We have never been to Cococay, but we have been to Castaway Cay 7 times.
We loved it, they have a great BBQ for lunch, also a BBQ at the adult beach. There is a tram to take you to the adult beach and massage cabanas. Also a walking or biking trail there too.
I dont know what all they have for you to do at Cococay, but CC has a kids club area for organized events for the kids, a game room with pool, chip it golf, chess, checkers, shuffleboard, basketball hoops, a large sandbox, and more. On board the kids can make kites to fly at CC too. They have a special part of the beach where you can snorkel with plenty to see under the water, the family beach with a play structure in the water, a beach just for the teens, with volleyball. The teens have their own excursions they can take there too, that has hiking, kayaking, canoeing, biking ect... They have lots of water trikes, sailboats, and paddleboats too. Jet ski's for rent too.
Of course there are excursions to go fishing, parasailing, glass bottom boats, the wild banana boat rides and more. I'm sure you'd love either place. Both are beautiful tropical places, you cant do much better than that!!!

We like the eastern best when comparing it to the western. However, we chose the DD since we get 2 days at CC & we don't to to GC. You do lose a sea day so there is a question about how they are going to handle the character breakfast since we are due in each port early 7-8 am.

Booked a DD, mostly because the week was affordable and worked for us. Was on an Eastern at the time--our 2nd. Love that. Have RCCL Western w/ Cozumel and Key West scheduled--good stuff for a 4 nighter, and just added another RCCL w/ grand cayman and costa maya and coco cay on a 6 nighter. Have decided that the DD may need to go if we are underwhelmed by Costa Maya, but hopeful that it will be a lovely day at the beach in winter and then to look forward to returning on the DD. But could easily see bumping the DD for another Eastern after '07 dates are released.

Sorry if I missed this--are there little ones? I would not do St. John w/ little ones, it is a bit of a schlep to get there, and magan's bayis lovely and wonderfully calm water for the little ones. If its just adults, hey, go for it.
