Help me decide

When we went to DW in December, I found one of the most annoying things to be the 6 trillion things we had to grab when we wanted to get on the bus (toddler, stroller, bag, etc). This trip I was really thinking about making or finding a bag that would attach to the stroller so we could at least eliminate the bag from the list. Now I am rethinking. Yes, I could still do the bag but we are going the end of this month so I am thinking we will need water bottles that we did not need in December. Once we throw water bottles into the equation, the bag doesn't seem to do any good and in fact, rather than go with the smaller diaper bag that I took in December, it almost seems like it makes sense to go with the larger one that will need to be constantly grabbed but will hold everything. So, WDYT? We are taking our big stroller so any bag we decide to go with will fit in the basket while we are walking. Or maybe skip the water bottles (can we do that in April) so we don't have to grab the bag for rides? Decisions, decisions....

My hubby carrys a backpack with the camera, sun cream and water in it and one snack item each.

The stroller for our toddler had some nappies and wipes underneth which folds up with the stroller.

Thats all we take on our trip to Disney parks. We have never been caught short needing anything.

Hubby's job is to carry the bag, my job to hold kids hands while he folds up the stroller.

I look at some of the lists of things people suggest you take and think really do you use all that. Maybe we are just lucky but for the ease of it all I would prefer to buy if on a rare occassion we would need it.

Here is my 2 cents:

* bring the smallest diaper bag

* make water bottle straps so kids can carry their own water:

I always left diaper bag in stroller -- it only had a change of clothes, dipes/wipes and infant Tylenol, so no need to bring to every ride or show. We would also carry a small cooler bag of snacks, and would bring with for some shows.

Why does the water need to be in a bag and carried all over? carry the water on a strap or put in stroller basket, drink during the day, refill from water fountain, dispose of bottle on the way home so the only thing you are carrying on bus are diaper bag, stroller and baby.

My preferred disney bag/stroller method is as follows:

Big bag that hangs from the back of the stroller. This bag is filled with any non-essential gear that we find convenient to tote around the park in case we need it (diapering stuff, spare clothes, sweatshirts, snacks, etc.). Nothing of serious value/importance so that if the bag/stroller did get snatched we could (fairly) easily replace the missing contents.

I carry a smaller bag filled with all our "must-have" items (things like: wallet, DS's inhaler, baby's lovey & pacifier, two water bottles, camera, etc.)

FWIW, for my "big" bag I love using a Ju-ju-be PackaBe - on the expensive side, but this diaper bag is very versatile plus it can hold a TON!
My favorite small bag is the Overland Donner.:thumbsup2

HTH!

Last year I bought a Skip Hop Duo diaper bag. I planned on ordering it from Amazon, but had a friend in one of my Mommy groups who sold me one for $20. Big roomy diaper bag, and held more than enough stuff for me, hubster, and DD to take into the parks. It also attached to the stroller handles really easy.
