Help me decide!

When would you visit WDW if given the choice

  • Sept 28-Oct 5 (last weekend of free dining; first weekend of F&W Festival)

  • Oct 5-12 (End of trip would be Columbus Day weekend, which I hear is a busy time)

  • Oct 12-19 (First weekend would be Columbus Day weekend)

  • Oct 26-Nov 1 (Week of Halloween)

I'm going crazy trying to decide when to go to WDW. It is narrowed down to late Sept/Oct. We went in January this year thinking it would be slow but it was packed, worse than the summer months. If you don't mind, please tell me when you would go and why.

The reason free dining scares me I'm afraid there will be too long of waits and hard to get a table for CS (encountered this in Jan.) I do plan on making ADRs for TS but I know there can still be a wait.

BTW, I deliberately left out Oct 19-25 because DD has testing at school that week. Of course, it would be the ideal week for me because I can't think of anything else going on except F&W Festival, which is going on the entire time we could go. I also thought about Nov (before Thanksgiving of course, but would then miss MNSSHP, the main reason I want to go this time)

Thanks!

We go every year in September and we have never had a problem with lines at CS restaurants. You do need to make ADRs for TS since those are all packed. So I wouldn't let free dining (if it's offered to the general public) scare you.

I voted for the week of Oct26 - Nov1. I think it would be fun to be there for halloween, and I think the weather would be a little nicer then Sept.
