Help me decide where to eat

Ok guys I need a little help from ya, all you Disers that know the best places to eat at the world. Last trip we took spur of the moment and kind of on a budget, and this trip we will be there longer with more $$ and time to plan so I need some suggestions on where to eat. Here is my definites so far:
10/16 GG Ice cream social
10/17 LTT dinner on MNSSHP night
10/20 CP Breakfast
Does anyone else have any recommendations on must do restaurants for us?? I have me, Dh, Ds7, and Dd4.

Are you staying at a WDW resort or offsite?

Is your family into buffets, quick counter type service or sit-down meals?

Any foods your family doesn't like?

Are you interested in dining out breakfast/lunch/dinner?

Are you looking for places in the parks? If so what parks will you be visiting?

50's Primetime Cafe at MGM
Tusker House at AK
Ghiradelli's & House of Blues at DTD
California Grill @ Contemporary
O'Hana's @ Polynesian
Beaches & Cream @ Beach Club

character meals?

chef mickey is nice at the CR- its buffet style with goofy, minnie, etc.

we are trying the 1900 park fare for dinner- cinderella and prince charming with be there. I think its buffet style too at the GF


the princess storybook breakfast was nice also in Epcot. that was a sitdown thing.

that we are going to try for a ps at ice cream social the same day as you and we are going to be at mnsshp on the same night as you just thought i'd share this with you and maybe we'll see you there

I hope you like CP as much as I did!

I tried O'hana and it is really good.

I would also try Le Cellier and Boma as they both get rave reviews.

Ok Catheren, here are the answers to your questions
Our vacation will be 10/15-10/23. We will be offsite 10/15-10/17 we will be at the Homewood Suites with my Mil. 10/18 we will be checking in, but I am still waiting for Fl resident rates so we haven't booked our room yet. My kids want to stay at the POp Century, but I'd like to stay at the POR.
So we will be onsite
Buffets are ok because they give everyone a choice, lots of variety
We aren't too picky, but don't enjoy anything too fancy or exotic
We will mostly be eating Bkfast in the room except for The Cp day
And it can be any place in WDW, parks, resorts, or in Orlando.

Uktigger, maybe we will see you there, are you traveling with any children?? Mine are 4 and 7 and this is the first time we have ever gone to MNSSHP or any of the character meals. We are very excited. Hope you enjoy your trip!

Ps: Has anyone tried the trails end buffet at the Ft. Wilderness Resort? I heard it was pretty good and not as expensive.

this will be our first time to mnsshp and also our first time to a character meal(we chose ice cream social because it might be a bit less hectic for our first character meal)we have 2 boys one will be 12 the other is 8
it would be lovely to bumb into each other wouldn't it? i'm not sure if the kids and dh will be dressing up but i am planning on wearing a plain black t-shirt with a pumpkim on it so be sure to say hi if you see us
