Help me decide when to do a quick solo trip

Help me decide: I'm doing a one night solo trip this fall to hit up Food and Wine and just do some of my favourite things/things I've never done before. I have an AP this year for the first and only time, so want to make the most of it!

Deciding between September 16/17 or October 27/28.

Without any other context or variables, which would you choose?

October will be cooler than September, lower chance of hurricanes but more crowded.

Sept is lower crowds and likely cheaper hotel but due to the heat I find it hard to do F&W. I’m just not hungry and the warm dishes border on stomach churning.

October. I will be there as well (Oct 26 - Nov 2) for a birthday and Halloween trip.

October - as others have said, cooler (and hopefully past the worst of hurricane season).

So ultimately you have to decide which bothers you more-excessive heat, or crowds. If it were me, I'd go in October.

I've gone solo in September many times - the key (at least for me) is to hit the parks later in the day and close them down as it makes the weather more tolerable. The late afternoon/evening heat isn't that bad (to me) and the lack of crowds is worth it. If you only have a quick 1 night trip and the weather is an issue than I'd go for October for all the reasons others have already said.
