I have a 7 year old and an almost 9 year old. The nine year old loves legos and space. LOVES them both. The 7 year old just likes a good time. Do I go to Kennedy, or Legoland? We're not doing any Disney parks on this visit (just there in February). We'll be there from 8/15 - 8/18.

TIA

Having not done either of those, I'd think that Legoland might be more entertaining for the 7 year old. Kennedy could be fun, but I just think it probably leans to the Educational side of Fun where Legoland, while still being somewhat educational (creativity), it's more of a "Fantasy" fun.

Just 2 cents from someone who knows little about both of them.

I took my son to Legoland a couple of years ago when he was still into legos. He loved it. I heard they added a water park since then.

I've been to both, although not the LegoLand in Orlando (San Diego). With the age group kids you have, I'd do Lego Land. It is geared towards littler kids vs Kennedy that is a little older. Your 9 y/o would love Kennedy even though he is a little young to appreciate all of it. I think your 7 y/o would be bored.

Confirming what I suspected. :)

Legoland is a great park. We went last year with 3, 8, 11, 12 boys and it was a hit for all the ages. We didn't do the waterpark because we didn't have time but the park is beautiful and the rides are all age appropriate for the ages of your kids. The Lego aspect of it is very cool - the mini-city, the figures scattered throughout, the decor.

Thanks guys! I think a trip to space camp in huntsville is in the 9 year old's future, so maybe kennedy can wait. Now to see about the weather...
