we're on the DxDP for 6 nights and I want to make the most of it so I want to add a 3rd signature meal. I'm already planning on California Grill and Hollywood Brown Derby...but for the third I'm stuck between Flying Fish Cafe, Artist Point and Yachtsman. We both enjoy Sea Food but I'm not a big red meat eater, I eat it occasionally if its there but i prefer fish or chicken...SO which would you prefer and why?

Well I think I'm in similar shoes to you, as though I LOVE steak, I seldom order it out b/c I can make an amazing steak very easily at home. I prefer, when I eat out, to order something that would be out of my cooking depth or patience ;)

SO, I would choose Flying Fish. It looks amazing, it has multiple seafood options, and even a few red meat options if your DF decides that's what he wants. I think we may put it on our list for our upcoming Anniversary trip, along with CG :thumbsup2 Yummy!

Artist Point looks great too, but while they have seafood, apart from the salmon it's not really their big focus like FF. I'm not saying it's not good, as all reports are that they do it well. But I'd just prefer personally to go someplace where seafood is front and center if that were the direction I was leaning.

Either way, sounds like you have some great options!

I like Yatchsman, but love Flying Fish and Artist Point. Flying Fish is my favorite WDW restaurant. I love their tomato mozzarella salad, their mussels, scallops with risotto, charcrusted steak, and any of their desert trios.:lovestruc In fact, I prefer their steak over any I've had at Yachtsman. At Artist Point I love their mussels, mushroom soup and buffalo. I know alot of people rave about their salmon, but I wasn't that impressed with it. I used to love their berry cobber, but since they changed it about a year ago, haven't found any of their desserts that great. Anyway, I'd go with Flying Fish, then wander around the Boardwalk afterwards.

From what you are describing I think that Flying Fish would be the best choice:thumbsup2

THey all three are great! However since you like fish I recommended the Flying Fish. Enjoy!

If you are not much of a meat eater, then I agree with Flying Fish.

My vote is based on the fact that I love seafood and that I was not overly impressed with Artists Pointe. Good Luck :goodvibes:goodvibes

DH will not go back the Yachtsman, he was not impressed with the food at all

Have not been to AP yet but the menu doesnt do it for us

Flying Fish is insane, the best food ever! We ate there three times and it was amazing each time....would not hesitate to go back there. I had the red snapper, the scallops and the shrimp and it was all wonderful...DH gets the NY Strip every time and he loves it

Flying Fish is my favorite of the restaurants on Disney's dining plan. I think it's much better than both Yachtsman & Artist Point.

Oooh.. since you like Seafood, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Flying Fish!! My husband and I had the greatest dinner there, with beautiful wine pairings. The scallops were perfect, and my husband got the special that evening, two separate fish dishes. So very good, cooked beautifully.

You can't go wrong with an evening on the Boardwalk, either... :goodvibes

As with all restaurants at Disney, a lot of it has to do with your taste.

Personally, Artists Point is at the absolute bottom of my list. Bad, bad experience there (I've posted it several times).

Flying Fish was ok, but just didn't impress me. I was with a couple who NEVER spent much on dinner. Flying Fish was the most expensive meal they'd ever eaten. They were horrified that people would spend that much money for an average meal.

I love Yachtsman. It's in my top 2 or 3 at Disney. But if you're not a steak lover, it may not be for you.

Many, many people love Flying Fish, so that would probably be my recommendation for you (even though it's not my choice).

I have never been to AP or Yachtsman, but FF is AWESOME! If you're not in to meat, then there are plenty of delicious seafood picks, and they usually have a wonderful vegetarian entree too. If your DH is set on steak, no worries, that NY Strip at FF was the 2nd best steak I've had in my life. It was soooo yummy!

And the desserts.....
