Help me decide please

Hello Everyone! First off I;d like to say how helpful everyone was in my planning of my family's first WDW trip this past Jan. - I couldnt have done it without this forum! Thank you so much!
Now I am planning our second WDW Trip- for this coming Jan.
This time around for budget reasons we need to stay in a value resort. I am deciding between all stars movies and pop century.
Anyone have any advice as I cant seem to choose between the two! My DD- who will be 5 then, loves both 101 Dalmations and Lady and the Tramp. I understand both hotels have there own statues of either of the two. I am leaning twards PC because its newer, but the 101 dalmations themeing sounds right up her alley.
Please help!

First, let me say I've never stayed at either one. I would go with POP strictly because of the bus system. The AS share a bus sytem and POP has it's own bus system. If this actually makes a difference...I don't know. If it doesn't make a difference then I would probably go with ASMo.

Go for ASM!! I just returned from Pop and it was definately more geared for adults (all the pop icons from the past that young kids will not get). The transportation was horrid (pop is bigger than all 3 all stars combined- at MK each all star had their own stop).

Kids will like all stars better.

We just returned from 9 days at All Star Movies. While it wasn't really a resort that I would stay at without children. My DD, 5 loved it. She too loves the dalmations and she would go out every morning and greet them. It was wonderful for her. We stayed in one of the two dalmation buildings and right outside of our doors were the giant dalmations. Who could ask for anything better than that for a 5 year old. I have heard that POP is geared more toward adults.

We also did not find that many of our bus trips were shared with the other all star resorts. Just from certain places. Like when we went to DTD we shared a bus to come back and one time when MK was letting out and it was very busy we stopped at the other all star resorts first. But those are the only two times I remember having to share with the other resorts. I will say that the bus gets very crowded early in the morning and late at night and there is most always standing required.

Thanks to everyone!
I am wondering about the rooms in ASMo- are they clean and neat? I have read that they are more motel-like and I just dont want to get there and be disappointed. As long as things are clean, neat, and not run-down looking I will be happy.
I am leaning tward ASMo because it seems the themeing is incredible there.

Just stayed in January because we were there for the marathon race and it was a great price. I went in thinking it would be okay for that trip even though last two had been AKL. We actually had a great trip and really enjoyed ASMo.........and my kids are older. We stayed in Mighty Ducks by quiet pool & laundry and our rooms had just been renovated. They were new, fresh, clean and mousekeeping was wonderful ! We found the entire resort to be well kept and clean and the service was excellent. Pool area was very clean and the lifeguards extremely attentive, better than AKL. Everyone decided we would go back on a future trip !

That's a tough one... If you think she will truly enjoy the theming at ASM then go for it. She will probably remember the ASM resort more because she can associate with its icons I will say this though, I have always chosen our resort by the convenience of the transportation system. When the kids were younger we stayed at the Contemporary so we could just hop on the monorail and go. Now that they are older, I chose Pop Century because it doesn't share busses with other resorts. We could just hop on a bus and know that we were going directly to our destination. Also, Pop is a much newer resort. We stayed there in January and I was quite impressed by the cleanliness of this hotel. Everything seemed new and fresh. Good luck in your decision and have a great time on your trip!

My DW and I have stayed at both and IMHO Movies wins hands down
if you have kids with you or not!!! There just isn't enough parking at Pop
and we never had much problem with the bus system at ASMovie.Whatever you decide , have a MAGICAL trip and be sure to tell Mickey hi from all of us stuck at home in the real world!!!
