help me decide on an ipod

o.k. I admit I don't know much about technology. DDs want ipods for Christmas. Apparently, they are the only poor, underprivileged students in the school who don't have ipods. Or so I'm told.

Anyway, I'm looking at the ipod touch. Would 16gb be enough? They likely will just play games on them, have some music, maybe make some videos on them. I don't know what all they can do.

Any suggestions are welcome. I don't think I've ever even held an ipod.

Personally I would suggest the 32GB ipod touch...space fills up fast.

DD12 has 16 and DD15 has 32gb. Neither have had an issue, so if money is an issue you could get by with 16 gb and if you can afford to get 32 then do that. I would get the newest generation (5th).

If you are getting the 5th gen, you need to get the 32 if you want an outward facing camera. The 16 only has a front facing (toward user) camera for things like facetime.

i saw refurbished 32 5th gen on apple.com a few days ago for a good price. 219 maybe?

Just be sure to get a good case like Otter Box Defender.
