Help me decide on a dress

I prefer #1, but poofy dresses just aren't my taste.

This is the first time that I've been to this thread. I love dress #2. Dress #1 is pretty, but all that fabric in the skirt looks cumbersome. I have to admit that I wasn't wild about the veil you had on with dress #2. You need more of a tiara-look with that dress.

My vote is for 1. It is very beautiful and classy. Number 2 reminds me of a prom dress for some reason. Don't get me wrong, I do think it's a beautiful dress..but my vote is with the first one!

I would have to say #2 is my favorite on you. Some one gave me some really good advice when I was having problems picking out what dress I wanted and it was don't settle for anything! If you are not totally happy with any of the dresses then keep looking until you find that one dress that you just can't live without.

I started dress shopping in January of this year and didn't get my dress until this past Saturday ( June 24). The instant I tried it on I almost cried because I felt so beautiful in it and knew that was my dress.

I vote #1 there's just something about it. It looks more bridey the second one looks more big dancey. If that makes any sense.

they ar eboth beautiful on you, but to me # 2 is too prom-ish. I love the elegance of #1, I'm wearing a maggie!

I love number 1. It gives you height, and a well defined shape.
Number 2 just stops at the waist and then "poof"!
And I am actually surprising myself by saying this because I would normally pick a style like number 2.

Just my opinion, they are both beautiful dresses, but number one looks the best on YOU!

Number one is elegant, feels special, and makes you look amazing!

Number two is pretty, but feels very seen-that, done-that to me, and it doesn't do justice to your figure.

Number two is pretty but number one is FANTASTIC.

Thank you all so much for your thoughtfull responses! I have been thinking about this all day and just did not know what to do. I told Keith (DF) about my dilema, and that I wanted his opinion, so he said that I should show him magazine pictures of similar dresses then he could tell me what he liked....well I liked dresses like the first one and did NOT like ones like the second one (I even had the oleg dresses mixed in there and he did not like it)! So I guess I kinda have my answer. I am going to go try on one more maggie dress that I found online this friday and then I will make my decision. Thank you all again so much!

I really like #1...now I love poufy dresses b/c I wore a ballgown, but I think what I don't like about #2 is that it doesn't have a train. I know that is weird, but it's a little...ballerina? I tried on the other Oleg tulle gown (the one with the sequined bodice) and that's how I felt in it...kind of tinkerbell. However, if that is the fun, flirty look you are trying to achieve and fits your events as Jonette has said, then go for it! I also agree with princessblueeyzes about if you don't totally LOVE one, don't feel as though you have to settle...I'm so glad I didn't!

Ok here's some more confusion for you. I love them both. I have looked at dresses like #1 in from many different designers. I also love the poofy princessy skirt on #2.

Here is one on Mary's bridal that I have actually consdered myself. It is a little of both. It is slightly poofy, but pinch pulled up with a lovely bodice and it has a train.

Are you going for elegant or fairytale? If you want elegant the 1st dress is beautiful... If you are looking for fairytale, dreams come true, definately the 2nd.

You look great in both!!!!

Are you willing to let him see YOU in the dress? I tried the above with my dh and it was of NO use...I finally made him come to the dress shop (tears worked wonders to get him there) and he LOVED one that he had earlier looked at a picture of random girl and hated...so just a thought...
