Trying to decide which night to go to Mvmcp. Friday (emh day) or Sunday?
Dec 2nd vs Dec 4th.

I was able to get CRT reservations for Friday at 5:30. And planned on going to mk around lunch and stay for the party. Or we can do mk and party with CRT reservations at 8:30 during party.

Also have to head to the airport around 3 am Monday. Traveling with 6&8 yr olds.

Suggestions? Will Friday crowds be much worse on a Friday compared to Sunday??

Friday crowds are definitely worse but I wouldn't waste any party tine on an ADR. Also, EMH jump attendance at a park.

Fri is usually busier than Sun. However, because you have to leave for the airport so early Mon then I would do Fri. At least Fri you have the option to stay late and ride rides with minimal waiting time.

I wouldn't do CRT at 8:30 during the party because character dining takes a while and you'll be missing a big chunk of the party. At least at 5:30 you wouldn't be missing as much.

Definitely would NOT do an ADR during the party that you are paying so much for.

When people say not to waste party time on ADRs, do people just mean from 7-12? Or is it also the general consensus not to waste any of the 4pm entry time on an ADR? (E.g. 5:30 ADR?)

If you're getting in line for characters, especially the dwarves, then you wouldn't wanna do an ADR before the official party start time of 7. People get in line for them around 5:30 to 6. Also the first castle lighting is before the party start, so some might just eat an early non ADR dinner to catch that then enjoy party activities.

CRT is so hard to get into that I personally wouldnt mind a 5:30 ADR and miss a lil of the party. But if dwarves are more important, then you wouldn't do that.

I forgot to say many ppl do their FP before the party as well. Especially if you have young kids who are going to pass out after fireworks, maybe even before lol.

I couldn't take advantage of no lines after the party because of my little one so getting in at 4 to do FP and eating early non ADR dinner worked for us.

You can't book FP during the party hours (7pm and onward) so if you want to use FP and aren't spending the full day in MK, you need to book them something like 4-5, 5-6, 6-7.

What we have found works best for our family is to go to Magic Kingdom the morning of the party and ride the rides. Then, we usually will do an ADR around 4 or 4:30. Personally, we do ADRs at one of the Magic Kingdom resorts since we will have to leave the park and re-enter with our party tickets anyway. I really don't like being in the park from 4-7 because that is when it is at its most crowded on party days. So, I'd definitely recommend doing an ADR then and not during the actual part hours. Make sense?

I saw other posts where people said you don't need to leave and reenter. I think they just showed the CM their tickets to get a party wristband if they were already in the park before 4.

I know we had to reenter for the Christmas party in 2015, but we didn't have physical tickets. They were on our magic bands.

Good to know, thanks! I will have that issue next year when we have magic bands. Will definitely keep the ADR at the resort tip in mind. :thumbsup2

Last year you did not have to leave. There are several stations around the park where you can get a wristband, including if the ticket it only tied to a magicband. I went to 7 parties last year between Halloween and Christmas and was fine staying in the park every time
